kana felt sick to her stomach as she stood on the balcony overlooking all of the beach members, the alarm had once again rung to indicate to everyone that they would be leaving to go to another game once again and that they were to group together to hear hatter speak. no matter how many times she witnessed it, it always made her question the morals of humanity.

everyday everyone would run into the room, celebrating, screaming with joy, smiling and laughing, none of them seemed to care that they would be leaving on a couple of minutes, to play a danger filled game and instead of being worried or panicked they seemed excited about the upcoming game. they had even gone as far as to start chanting out hatter's name as they cheered louder and louder.

hatter managed to make them all shut up, which was a relief for kana as a headache had begun to form inside of her head and it was quite uncomfortable for her, she was actually debating whether she could really be bothered going to game tonight, but she decided that she probably should, until recently she had a reputation to uphold, she was the intimidating girl, the girl who never lost a game and wasn't afraid of sacrificing somebody if it helped her, she's the girl that everyone avoided, she's a murderer, that's what they all called her, they viewed her as psychotic with no conscience nor empathy.

of course, kana never let it bother her, she didn't know these people and they didn't know her either, it did get to her sometimes though, kana was intimidating but she wasn't psychotic, she did like when people avoided her, not really fond of socialising anyway, but it did upset her at times, she didn't want to be hated, nobody ever wanted to be hated by anybody.

kana pushed her thoughts aside, walking towards the exit, apparently she and ann were to be testing arisu to see if he's worthy of being an executive. kana did think he was deserving of the role but she didn't particularly feel like sitting back and watching as he does some stupid test and gets them all killed. but, it's not as if she could do much to change the outcome of the game, ann would be mad or disappointed if she told him the right answer without letting him even try figure it out first, maybe this is the day she dies, kana was okay with that, dying is destined and nobody controls their own destiny.

almost everyone had left by the time kana was downstairs, she was walking slowly towards the exit, knowing that they wouldn't leave without her, kana was walking downstairs when she heard chishiya and kuina talking, they sounded somewhat secretive, she followed their eyesight to see they were talking about arisu and usagi, kana hid behind a pillar and continued to listen to them talk.

"we were together in the last game" chishiya stated, speaking about when they played tag, kana would never forget that day, she held her breath just thinking about it.

"who? those two?" kuina motioned towards arisu and usagi, "yeah" chishiya nodded, "maybe we can use them" he finished, even kana, who was usually quite manipulative herself was shocked at the blonde man's thoughts, but kana was only manipulative inside the games, chishiya wanted to use them for his own personal gain, not for survival.

"they could fit into the plan" he told kuina, and as much as kana didn't support this manipulation, it was a good idea, and whatever he wanted to use them for, kana was sure that they'd fall for it, people had become too naive and too trustful.

kana decided not to intervene, she could honestly say that she didn't care, kana left and walked outside to the car, no words for ann who was waiting with tatta, she just sat down in the back seat silently, staring out of the window at the lights on inside of the beach.

soon enough both kuina and arisu joined them and they left, arriving at the game arena, ann, forcing kana to come and speak to arisu with her before the game began.

kana, arisu and ann all walked silently down the stairs, the only sound that could be heard was the taping of their feet on the cold concrete steps, once they reached the bottom, they stepped through into the arena, now they were trapped, they couldn't leave until finishing the game.
