"Miss Suzy O'connel, you look absolutely breathtaking." Ricardo Cain swept his hand out for her to take, grinning.

"I could say the same for you, Mister Cain." She took his hand and bit back a smile. With his strong jawline, straight nose, and curly but short brown hair- her returned compliment was no lie.

"Care to join me?" He gestured to the carriage behind him.

"Of course," Suzy replied, stepping forward.
Ricardo opened the carriage door for her and supported her as she got inside.

Sitting down on the carriage seats, Suzy shut her door and sniffed in the sweet aroma of the day; it was going to be an excellent date.

The door to the other side of the carriage shut and Ricardo sat down beside her. His hazel eyes sifted over the windows view of outside too, watching as the college began to disappear when the carriage started up.

"It's a lovely day." He commented.

Suzy agreed, "Very lovely. Which is why today's picnic will be wonderful." She refused to say magical, logically, a beautiful day like this was rare, astounding; but not magical.

Ricardo seemed to remember something, "Which is why I'm taking us somewhere truly special."

Suzy wondered what he meant, "And where is this "special" place?" Her eyes met his.

He winked, "It's a surprise Su, you'll see."

She pouted, "A surprise? You know how I despise of those."

Ricardo put his hands out defensively, "You'll like this one, trust me."

"Alright, fine. But it'd better be good."
Suzy went back to studying the amazing streets of refined Washington.

"We're here, Su," Ricardo said, gently tapping her hand.

Had she really been sleeping?
She apologized immediately, "I'm sorry. I had no idea I'd snoozed off."

He waved a nonchalant hand, "You're fine. Besides, now it's even more of a surprise."
Remembering his surprise destination for their picnic he mentioned earlier, Suzy instantly looked up to peek out her window.

Blue skies surrounded a tall cement tower, and greenery and flowers grew in sophisticated bunches.

She recognized the place with a forming smile she shut down. Riverfront Park. Spokane.

The location she and Ricardo first met for a date. A memory holder.

Turning to Ricardo's shining face, with a slight smile even though she tried to hide it, she exclaimed, "Oh Ricardo! I do like this surprise!" With more of a proper voice, she added, "Thank you."

"You're welcome. Now, shall we begin our picnic?" He glanced outside.

"Yes, let's go."

Ricardo opened his carriage door and hopped out first, coming around to open her door and assist her down to the stone path.

She took a long sweep along at all the lovely sights.
