A/N: I'm so sorry for not updating in a while, I've been busy and I haven't had much motivation to finish this work. I'm trying my hardest to update more so thank you to everyone that is reading! I apologize for any grammar mistakes.Joshua was a bit shaken up to say the least, this is the second time he has seen Jeonghan on his day off and he was beginning to think it wasn't coincidentally. He didn't want to think of it like that maybe it truly was a coincidence and his boss just happened to have similar interest as him. Then again, Jeonghan seemed to always just reoccur.
He was like waves constantly crashing into each other and washing away whatever trash was left on the beach. He was confusing. Joshua was still confused from the few nights before maybe he had dreamed it all but he could still here the phone notification ding in the distance and for some reason he couldn't grasp who could be following him.
He hasn't heard from his friends in quite some time, it was odd. He was sure that Seokmin would have at least texted him and asked him about his day, per usual. Though that never happened. In fact now that he thinks about it he hasn't heard his phone go off in the last 24 hours.
Joshua began to panic, it was his instinct when it came to smaller things. Surely he hadn't accidentally misplaced his phone he always keeps track of where it is. Why was he so careless?
He checked his drawers and then under his pillow, under his blankets, even under the couch cushions. He couldn't find it anywhere.
There was that fear again, the same fear he feels when he walks alone in the dark, or when he watches the news and finds himself interested in the local murders. Joshua pondered over it for a moment and then decided to use his computer in order to track the phone.
It was weird because when he tracked it the phone could not be found. It must have been several miles away and Joshua stressed over the thought that he would just have to buy a new phone. So much for saving his money.
Joshua had decided to purchase a new iPhone. It wasn't exactly ideal to spend his vacation money on a new phone but worse had come to worse and he had to do what he could. He powered on the new phone and watched as it updated when it was finished he immediately checked his text messages. There were five missed calls from Seokmin and one from Seungkwan. Figures, those two were always nagging on to him.
He decided to call Seungkwan back first to see if he would answer but he didn't, Joshua remembered that Seungkwan had to work on Sunday's and decided not to bother him any longer.
At first, Joshua wanted to text Seokmin but his conscious told him to call just to be safe, he hasn't exactly had the best experience with texting.
Joshua waited as his cell rang 3 times until the other line picked up the call.
"Shua?" A voice called, Seokmin sounded concerned and for a second Joshua felt bad.
Joshua sighed, "I'm sorry Seok, I lost my phone somewhere and had to buy a new one that's why I haven't answered your calls."
"It's okay Jisoo, just be careful," Seokmin advised. "I've heard some twisted things have been happening around town recently."
Joshua's eyebrows furrowed. "Really? Like what?" He asked curiously.
Seokmin seemed to pause for a second, possibly spaced out or finding the words he wanted to see.
"I don't know, some man got killed last night at this bar. It was apparently the manager." Seokmin said.
Joshua's lip twitched, "What bar was it?" He asked the younger softly.
Seokmin made a noise which sounded like an I don't know noise. "It was called something like...Sky Sunset?"
Joshua sucked in a strong breath, "Sunset Sky!" He exclaimed.
Seokmin hummed, "Yes that's the one. It's pretty sad actually." The younger man carried on but Joshua stopped listening.
Now that he thought about it he hasn't heard from Jiwoo since the last time he had left work. Had Jiwoo really been murdered? Was it really his manager?
Joshua couldn't believe it couldn't think straight.
"S-Seok." He stampernd.
Seokmin hummed. "What's wrong Shua?"
"What was the mans name?" He questioned.
The static could be heard through the phone as Seokmin confirmed what had already been stated.
"I think it was Kim Jiwoo." Seokmin answered.
Joshua felt his eyes water and suddenly he felt sick and nauseous all over again.
"Seokmin I need to go I'll talk to you later." Joshua quickly hung up not bothering to tell his friend what was wrong and instead took a glass from the cabinet and filled it with water from the sink.
He took a large gulp and breathed out. It would be okay, everything was fine, it was okay.
But there was a thought that kept racing over and over in his head. What if I die next?
Then there was a knock at the door.
Joshua jumped and the unexpected noise and dabbed at the corner of his eyes, attempting to fix his appearance. He walked over to the door and opened unhesitatingly.
Joshua cocked his head to the side at the unsuspected guest.
"Mr. Yoo?" Joshua squinted as if he was seeing things.
"Please Jisoo, call me Jeonghan." The older man replied. Joshua just nodded casually checking out the older.
He was dressed in casual clothes but they screamed sexy and mature. His cologne smelled heavenly and Joshua tried to push down the bubbling feeling in his throat.
He wasn't positive if the way he felt in his stomach was nervousness of being around Jeonghan of butterflies swarming because he was so near. Joshua was scared that maybe there was something more connected to the rush he felt when he was next to the older man. He didn't want to dwell on it.
"I'm sorry for stopping by so suddenly," Jeonghan started. "But I heard the news about your manager and I wanted to check in on you to make sure you were okay."
Joshua felt those butterflies swarm his heart again, Jeonghan was so caring. Though it reminded Joshua of the true reality he was facing at the moment. Jiwoo, his manager and his long time friend was dead.
He looked over at Jeonghan in silence and the well dressed man just put his arm around Joshua's shoulder.
This week just seems to get more hectic as time goes on.
