Chapter 3: The Sound Four

"What?!" Was what came out of Satsuki's mouth. Out of all the things that she expect this was not it at all. Naruto, the deadlast of the academy, the boy who wears the hideous orange jumpsuit, the boy who always smile just left the village.

Her mind was still trying to process what the Hokage just said. She knew that the blond Hokage was not joking at all. Her mind again was trying to figure out why would Naruto leave the village. The images came to her on how when they were younger she saw while walking in the village with her family she once saw how Naruto was walking along in the village. But that was not it, it was the glares he was receiving from the villagers.

The looks they were giving him as if he was some type of plague. She didn't understand why they were giving him those looks. She thought it was because of the pranks that he kept on pulling on them. She also noticed the sad glances her parents would give him. Now that she think about him why did her parents care about Naruto anyway? Did they know who Naruto's parents were? Her thoughts were interrupted by Kiba.

"Hokage-Sama it can't be true?! Why would Naruto leave the village?!" Kiba said. While Kiba and Naruto didn't hang out much they were still friends and he didn't think that Naruto out of all people would leave the village. Naruto was someone who is always happy and helps his friends. That was the same though going through the rest of the Genins heads.

"Kiba I'm afraid it's true. Last night Natsumi witness Naruto left the village while she was going to visit him when she saw him jumping from the roof towards the village gate when she confronted him." Stated Tsunade. The Genin's and single Chunin then suddenly looked toward Natsumi to get her confirmation. Natsumi then nodded her head towards them.

"It's true. Yesterday almost midnight I went to visit him since he's been distant with us and acting weird since the preliminary rounds and during the finals we didn't even see him much. So I went to visit him. But he was so different when I talked to him....." Natsumi said while explaining to them what happened. They were surprised by what Natsumi said. They definitely didn't expect this. Naruto hated the villagers? Was he really just wearing a mask of happiness while in the village?

Meanwhile Satsuki was feeling dread feeling in her. The was she used to treat him by ignoring him and saying bad things towards him. Don't get her wrong she didn't hate him, she actually had a little crush on him. But her pride as an Uchiha made her treat him like that. And now the harsh reality that he left the village because he hated the villagers made guilt rise up in her.

"It doesn't make sense, why would Naruto hate the entire village." Asked Neji. The Hyuga prodigy was still trying to get his mind wrapped around the the fact that Naruto left the village. Why did Naruto hate the village. That was the same thing going on in the thoughts of Shikamaru and Choji's heads. Until Shikamaru decided to voice his opinion.

"Hakage-Sama if I may."said Shikamaru. The Hokage then nodded to him to continue. "While me and Choji were kids we noticed the adults looking at Naruto with a look as if he was something disgusting. I tried to ask my father but he told me not to worry about it." Shikamaru then narrowed his eyes at that Hokage." Unless my father and you to Hakage-Sama has known the truth of why naruto was treated like that." Finished Shikamaru. There was silence.

The silence was so deep that you can hear the wind breezing in the room. The other genins had were shocked to hear how he accused the Hokage for something like that. Before the rest of the genins can comment on what Shikamaru said the Hokage raised her hand silencing them.

Tsunade just stared at the Nara with a hard and calculating gaze. She new he was smart since his father was someone who is known as a great strategist during the Third Great Shinobi War. She was truly impressed with his thinking skills and that scared her. Scared that he was able to come to a conclusion so quickly.
