This is how the end of episode 8 and the beginning of episode 9 could have played out, with Sanem and Can realizing how much they'll miss each other when she quits and he leaves. These are the episodes where Aunt Remide locks them in the abandoned warehouse, Sanem binds Can's hand with her bandana, and Can gives Sanem the writing feather when he tells her he's leaving. Here's what could have happened...

When she told him about the matches and the gas lamp, Can looked at her strangely and at first confused. Then it dawned on him about the photographic memory she possessed that amazed him every time.

She looked up at the lamp hanging high on the wall, and while she thought it was too high up there for them to reach, he had another idea.

"If... if I lift you up you'll reach it..." he suggested. She tilted her head to the side.

"N-no, Can Bey, I'm going to fall from there," she told him quietly.

"You're going to fall? So yesterday you jumped from the window of your room, how are you going to fall from here?" he reminded her. She remained speechless. - "You've got this, come on. Nothing is going to happen. Just be careful not to break it, okay?" - she nodded her head and with slow uncertain steps stood in front of him. - "Ready?"

"I've got this" she said more to herself than to him.

His strong arms wrapped around her like a shield, and before she could think of anything, she was already in the air.

"A little to the left, Can Bey," she said timidly, leaning against the cold wall. - "Some more. Okay... I got it!" She raised the lamp above her and took a breath of calm air as he lowered it and she felt the hard ground beneath her feet.

Time seemed to stand still in that single moment when he came face to face with her. She didn't dare move when she felt his hands still around her waist. Their foreheads locked inches away, which took her breath in an instant. His touch burned her with a tickling sensation unknown until that moment.

When she started to raise her head to meet his gaze, he lowered his, making her for the first time appreciate the fact that she was shorter. She could study his face from the perfect angle - his lips that she longed to taste right now, the few freckles hidden under the handsome beard, his nose, his forehead and the eyes that never looked up from hers.

She was all shaking inside and her mind seemed to have completely stopped functioning as her inner voice repeated Kiss him! Kiss him! But she couldn't.

"I'll take it" - He reached for the lamp and Sanem saw something on his hand.

"Can Bey?" - without thinking she grabbed it. - "Your hand is bleeding, what happened?"

"I cut myself while looking for electricity. Nothing serious" - he withdrew his hand and waved it in the air, and she kept her eyes on his wound.

"I hope it wasn't something rusty?"

He shrugged and started looking for matches, where she told him.

She watched his every move as he ran the match on the surface of the box, producing a flame to light the lamp.

"Ah! I must have coconut oil" - Sanem hurried to find her bag, and when she did, she took out a small bottle from it. - "Coconut oil will have a good effect on the wound" - she stood in front of him and opened the lid.

She took some of the oil and with slow, trembling movements applied the oil to the bloody wound. He couldn't take his eyes off her. With each passing moment, he was realizing how much he would miss being near Sanem.
