Chapter 7 Rainy

Angel forced his eyes open when the breeze from the living room window chilled his entire body. he faintly saw a shadow rustling around in the kitchen. Angel closed his eyes when he saw the shadow approaching. He felt a thick warmth on his entire body. It was a cover. Angel opened his eyes to see Aki! Shirtless.."Damn.." Angel mumbled looking up at Aki. " Oh shut it." Aki chuckled moving back to the kitchen. Angel sat up wrapping the cover around him and yawning. Aki brought him some pancakes, eggs etc. " So, how'd you sleep?" Aki said handing him plate. Angel's eyes lit up when he received the plate " that looks good!" he dodged the question and devoured the food immediately. "  I straightened up the place a little." Aki said sitting down next to him. Angel nodded and continued eating. Aki frowned looking like he wanted to say something which gave Angel an unnerved  feeling " Thank you Aki" he said as soon as he was done eating, Aki smiled " No problem. Hey uhh..did I make you uncomfortable last night by chance? You didn't say anything about it which worries me." Angel's face became hot " No, not at all. I didn't wanna make you uncomfortable mentioning it, heh".

Aki blushed as well and tried to fill the awkward silence " It's raining out..I saw that you are growing sunflowers and other stuff.". Angel stood up folding the cover " I tend to like this weather actually, especially when it's humid outside with no rain" he said as he went over to his room to look for clothes  Angel slipped on a sweater and a bucket hat and went outside through the back door with rain drenching him as soon as he walked out. Aki put on a coat and garden gloves and took his hair down not wanting the hair tie to get wet and tangle in his hair. Once he stepped outside he saw Angel covering some  flowers. Aki smiled " Those flowers kinda match your hair" he said chuckling and walking over to him. " Not really. rhododendron flowers can have more carotenoids mixed in pink.." Angel replied making sure they didn't get too wet. After a while the rain started to calm down, Angel went inside the tool shed to grab gardening tools and some garden gloves and pulled some weeds while Aki helped move developed flowers into pots without harming the roots. Angel could feel the weight of his wet wings pulling on his back, which made his back hurt.

Aki saw him staring and looked back at him " what is it? Did I do something wrong?" he said putting his tools down "No...just your hair, it's drenched" Angel said going back to what he was doing. " Well so are your wings" Aki said grabbing one of them. Angel flinched as soon as he felt the touch and then pulled away " T-those are sensitive" he started as his wings bushed up. Aki thrust himself backwards " Sorry, didn't know. I'll ask next time". The rain began to stop and the air grew thick and humid. Angel took a deep breath inhaling the salty hair filled with the smell of floral mixed in the air. " mmmm" Angel expressed after sniffing the air. Aki thought it smelled gross but he's a devil maybe they can smell differently.
