It was 2 Days after you've met Climber, and you've been seeking shelter from the endless battles with a crap ton of contestants. At this rate, it was getting annoying. A weird thing, but whenever alone, you felt paranoid and nervous, as if someone was.. watching you two, like a predator did to its prey.
You and Climber found an abandoned building. Sure, it looked like any other, but it had an unusual amount of supplies and old stuff which you thought was cool. There were multiple rooms with older beds, some unusable, some decent enough. You laid into one, covering yourself with the silly, somewhat dusty blankets. Surprisingly, they didn't go through you, but you constantly felt a burning sensation on your skin.
'That's weird... '
Anyway, Climber left you to sleep in your room, while he went somewhere else, saying he definitely isn't scared, which you doubted, but agreed to anyways.
After a few hours of aimlessly laying, you figured you could use some company right now.. Suddenly, the sound of a window opening pulled you out of you thoughts. You tried going invisible to investigate but found out you can't. A thousand warning suddenly started popping up in the back of your head, surfacing from under other thoughts.
'Wait a second. Could these blankets be made out of... THE ESSENCE OF A PURE ANIMAL?! '
At this point, you didn't know what was worse. The blanket whose aura was slowly blurring your vision, or the intruder probably coming over to your bed right now. You closed your eyes and inhaled sharply, and when you opened them, dark dots were encircling your vision, but a very familiar silhouette standing in the bedroom. You couldn't put your transparent finger on who could it exactly be, but you didn't even try, as all you could see now was black. You could feel your eyes closed, and breathing slowed. Not the moment for this, you can breathe but don't need air to live. A feeling of tiredness came to your body, as you started seeing what normal people would call a dream._____
Karl pulled the covers off of you, only to see that your s/c skin has became less transparent than usual and had taken a light purple hue. Examining the room, he found a shit load of books, some relying on ghosts and their anatomy or the unnatural/the walking dead in general. He flipped through the first book he took, finding nothing. The second and third book, again, nothing. The fourth book seemed somewhat less convincing than others, but he read it through anyway, and what surprised him was that it was actually useful, even if the book had a cover with a child's drawing of a ghost.
"Ghosts, depending on their type and 'personality' , all seem to have weakness towards a few things. Let's start with the things that can harm vengeful ghosts first.
[...]
Some ghosts can be harmed even by essences, which can be used in making pillows, blankets, clothing, and etc. , because it can make human drowsy. Most essences are harmless to ghosts, but if the product is of animal cruelty, for example, it will have an essence of a pure animal.

As his eyes widened, he ripped the covers off of you, pulling you out of them, blue mist and particles emitted from your body. Karl's eyes widened.
It was you ENERGY. Everyday he felt weaker because he was losing his, but now that yours is overflowing, he, might as well take some. As he put his arm on the bed after setting you down comfortably in a chair (of course after making sure there was no possible pure animal essence in it, even if the chair was made of wood), he covered you with his coat, leaving him in a formal white shirt. He quickly picked up the left over particles, and a rush of sudden energy filled him. As the blue glow ascended into his arms in forms of what humans call veins, and he felt stronger than before, stronger than with the castle's energy. His eye twitched as he tried to think through how would he explain to you that he needs your energy. He reopened the book on how would you even share your energy in the first place. Reading through multiple books, he went onto searching for two ruby pendants. He went through the window and started exploring. He was the only one to have your energy. ONLY HIM.
____________
After a good while, he managed to find 2 ruby pendants and one which had a cross. Which gave him 3 really fucking cool looking necklaces. He got back inside through the window and stood by your peaceful figure. He set the jewelry on a table of sorts, and went towards you. His boots clicking on the cold floor every once in a while. He lightly grabbed your body by the shoulders, and shaked you as hard as he could without hurting you.
After all, he needed you alive. But he didn't know how that made sense since you were a ghost, aka a spirit of a dead person trapped in the over world for no apparent reason. Long story short, he needed you there. Since you didn't stir, he continued to think.
.
After a short span of 15 minutes, you finally opened your eyes. Surprisingly, you felt.. No more pain? You looked down at yourself. Huh. No gashes or cuts. You were surprised at what you saw next. Better said, who. Karl was staring at you curiously, waiting for you to say something.
