"Kacchan!"
The scream startled Shouto, who jumped up to comfort his mate. His hands found messy curls of green hair, and he carefully massaged the scalp hidden beneath them. The sobs made his heart ache. Carefully, he pulled his mate's head to his chest, where he held him for however long the taller needed. He could not help when tears pricked his own eyes, equally as torn as Izuku. He hated the feeling of hands pulling at his shirt, desperate and terrified. He hated the tears streaming down his mate's face for the same reason. He hated the man who caused them, who took Katsuki away from them.
"I just want him back." Izuku cried, his voice high pitched and his grip tight. "I- He- He needs to be here. With us, damnit!"
Shouto softly shushed him. "I know, 'Zuku. I know." His lips pressed against Izuku's head. "Tell me about your dream."
"Chisaki. He- He- Fuck, Shouto. He touched him. And Kacchan fought. He fought so hard, but Chisaki- Chisaki commanded him. Forced him. I can't-" Izuku pulled back. Eyes irritated from crying, and his hair disheveled. His expression hardened, and his usually emerald colored irises slowly started to turn blood red.
He watched the transformation. The way the inner ring around his pupil turned red first. The way the color slowly bled out to cover his entire eye. Deadly. Predatory. Feral. If Shouto had to be honest, it looked hot.
Those eyes fixated themselves on Shouto, who waited patiently. "I'm going to kill him." Izuku promised. "He's touched what's ours, and I'm going to kill him."
In any other situation, Shouto certainly would have talked him down. He would have reminded him of other ways to take out the trash. But he wanted Chisaki Kai dead just as much. Shouto would gladly do the honors too, but he hesitated to say as much. "No." The word left his lips.
"The hell?" His mate snarled. "What do you-"
"Izuku." The single word was enough to keep the greenette from arguing further. "It needs to be Katsuki's choice. He is the one Chisaki's actions affect most. Therefore, Katsuki should either do it himself or tell us to. Got it?"
"Yeah." Izuku's eyes shifted back to their usual color. This time, the red receded towards his pupil, uncovering the shining emerald underneath. "We're going to get him back."
Many hours passed. As everyone started getting ready for another day of searching relentlessly for Katsuki's location, Shouto found himself dumbfounded. He stared at the omega before him. He managed to keep a straight face, hopefully creating some kind of fear in Aoyama Yuuga's mind, but he wanted to flip a table. Instead, he calmly called for Izuku to come into the room.
Still appearing as disheveled as last night, Izuku popped his head into the room. His eyes narrowed on Yuuga, who refused to meet either of their gazes. Arms carefully wrapped themselves around Shouto's body. Rather than shielding him, they gave his mate something to grasp, to reel himself in before he did something irrational. In turn, they prevented Shouto from doing the same.
"Midoriya. Todoroki." Yuuga addressed them in a small, timid tone. "I am extremely sorry for the trouble I caused, and I'd like to make it up to you both as well as Bakugou."
Shouto noticed the way Izuku's jaw clenched and his grip tightened. He moved to place his own hand over Izuku's, comforting.
"I needed money. One of Chisaki's lackies offered me cash for ratting out information about, well, you." Yuuga motioned to Izuku, who probably looked like a mistreated dog about to strike. "So when Bakugou came along, I told them. I tried setting up locations so maybe no one else would get hurt. But then they just stormed the mansion, and I had no idea they were coming."
