He gripped my arm with all his strength. It began to hurt and my eyes started watering. I tried to pull away but I felt a sharp sting come across my cheek. If it wasnt for Sam's grip on me, I most likely would have fallen flat on my ass. My black hair draped over my face as I looked towards the ground. Tears formed in the corner of my eyes and I felt my face redden. James ran up to Sam but before he could do anything, I stretched my arm out to stop him.
My head shot up to see a suprised Sam and an extremely pissed off James.
"Oh my god, Dawn I swear I didn't..." Sam's words were cut off by my right hook. I put all of my strength into that punch. Tears now streamed down my face but I didnt dare let a sob escape my quivering lips. He covered his cheek where a bruise was already forming. I faced the ground as I climbed on top of the trash can and jumped over the rotten wood fence. After yanking my board out of a bush I had hid it in earlier, I was off. Off to the club house.
Minutes later, I arrived to the shack and tore open the door. I dont know why I loved that rat infested death trap, but I felt more at home there than I did in my actual home. I tossed my board into a forgotten corner, flopped down on the dirty old matress on the other side of the room, and put in my headphones. Disasterology by Pierce the Veil came on.
Can we create something beautiful and destroy it? Nobody knows I dream about it. Its in my imagination. If every living thing dies alone, what am I doing here?
