Chapter 2

After Daisuke cried he looked really tired.

"Let's get you to sleep buddy" You say wiping his eyes

"Hey mom" Daisuke said lifting his head up

"Yes dear?" You ask

"Do you think I can become a demon slayer?" He asked

You looked at him with shock written all over you face. Of course, you knew he could, but you didn't want him to get hurt or worse die.

"Is there a reason you ask?" You question.

"I just had this dream where I was a slaying a demon and then I was using (Your breathing style) and then I cut the demons head off, so do you think I can become a demon slayer?" He asked

You smile and nod "But, I can tell you it's dangerous"

"I know" He said fluttering his eyes shut

You pick up Daisuke and turn around to see Tengen

"You need anything?" You ask looking at him

"Just thought I'd help you out" Tengen said taking Daisuke out of your arms

Daisuke eyes shot open to see his father tucking him to sleep "Rest well kid" Tengen smiled ruffling his hair

"Love you dad" Daisuke smiled

"I love you too" Tengen smiled kissing his head

Tengen turned off his lamp as Daisuke passed out instantly. You and Tengen walk out into one of the other rooms to see Makio smirking.

"What's that look about?" Tengen asked

Makio pointed towards Suma and Hinatsuru sleeping close together.

"Well, We should get some rest as well" You smile

As time passes you start to get tired but you looked to see it was 2:30.

'I'm not gonna be up in time for the kids to have breakfast at 6' You think to yourself

You walked out of the room and go for a walk outside to see Toko on the patio.

"Hey" You say holding her shoulder

Toko flinched and turned around to look at you "You scared me" Toko sighed in relief 

"What are you doing up so late?" You ask her

"Nothing really, I just had a nightmare but it's nothing important" Toko frowned

"Are you sure?" You ask her

"Yeah" Toko said looking up at the sky

You look at her as the wind made her hair fly back softly and start to see tears forming in her eyes. You pull her into a hug and stroke her hair, as she wraps her arms around you, you start to notice scars.

"Lets get inside dear" You say

You help Toko get up and get her to sit in the living room, but you turn to see Hinatsuru standing in the kitchen.

"I was worried where you were" Hinatsuru smiled

"I was just gonna go for a walk until I saw Toko up" You say getting bandages 

"Why do you need those?" Hinatsuru asked

You walk over to Toko and lift up her hoodie sleeve

"Mom!"Toko said pushing you away onto the floor

"Toko, you shouldn't treat your mother like that-" Hinatsuru said helping you up

Toko was holding her sleeve as tightly as possible to what it looked like, Hinatsuru got you to stand up and you had sat down next to Toko and lifted her sleeve.

"Stop!" Toko said trying to remove you hand

Hinatsuru's eyes widen, and you kept a straight face, you start taking a wet rag and patting the scars and started wrapping her arms.

"I'll make us some food, how about that" Hinatsuru said turning on a crystal lamp

"That'd be best" Toko said with a guilty look on her face 

The room went silent the only thing you could hear was the T.V. playing and the fireplace crackling. You had just finished wrapping her arm and looked up to her and made her face you.

"I'm not gonna force you to tell me why you did what you did, but when you're ready to talk. Me and your mothers and father will be open to talk to you" You say wiping her tears off her face

Toko nodded and rolled her sleeve back down and watched T.v. as you looked at the time to see it was 4:30 A.M.

"Here, I got some tea and cookies" Hinatsuru smiled

"Thank you mama" Toko smiled

"No problem"Hinatsuru smiled

"Im going to send a message to the school on how the kids are staying home for today" You say taking a drink of your coffee

"But mother-" Toko said looking at you

"You obviously have something going on love and need to relax" You say giving her a corner look

"Y/n, you should ask them if they wanna go first before just assuming things" Hinatsuru said styling Toko's hair

You close your eyes and nod "Apologize, would you like to stay home or go to school?" You ask 

Toko took a long pause before answering and nodded"I wanna stay home, your right mother" Toko frowned

You knew something was wrong with the kid, and you knew she wouldn't open up soon but you didn't wanna force it out of her and be like 'You need to tell me this or you get nothing for a month straight' that's not the type of person you were though you did wanna know what caused Toko to do that to herself. Some hours pass as it turned 5:30

"Hey mom, can I actually go to school?" Toko asked laying her head on sleeping Hinatsuru

"If that's what you'd like than that's fine"             

"Thank you" Toko smiled

"Now, go get ready for school" You say standing up                           

"Kk" Toko said getting up

You lay Hinatsuru down and put a blanket over her to keep her warm and walk to Hitoshi's room to see Makio get his uniform out

"Well, then you need to ask for help if your struggling with english" Makio said laying out his outfit

"But infront of everyone!" Hitoshi whined

"Your teacher is there for a reason" You say putting your hand on the frame of the door

"Good morning mom" Hitoshi smiled getting up to hug you

You liked the fact that everytime you would go to wake up Hitoshi he would give you the biggest hugs

"Good morning love" Makio smiled 

"Good morning dear" You smile

"Are you gonna drop me off today mama?" Hitoshi asked

"If that's what you'd like, of course" You smile picking him up

"Alright, Hitoshi let's get you ready" Makio smiled

"Okay!" Hitoshi smiled as you put him down

"Imma go see if Daisuke's up" You say as Makio gave you a hug

"Alright, Is Hinatsuru up?" Makio asked

"Not at the moment she's just resting on the couch" You say giving her a hug back

"Alright, she was gone when I woke up this morning, so I thought you knew where she was" Makio sighed in relief 

"She's alright, you can see for yourself if you'd like" You say breaking the hug

"Alright" Makio smiled
