I duck behind a rock and hold my knife to my side . I hear something come from behind me .

Quickly I turn and ponce on what was behind me.

"NETEYAM?" I yell
"hehe, hello" He waves

I was on top of him my knife to his throat . My legs in in between his . My hand on his chest holding him to the ground.

" Woah, drop your weapon mighty warrior " He mocked

" You realise I'm the one with the knife , right "

I drop my knife to my side and stand up . He does the same .

"Why are you following me forest boy" I ask watching him stand

" I dont know bored I guess" He says shrugging

I look at his kneck where my knife was I realise I accidentally put a small cut on his kneck.

"Shit, your kneck" I say
He presses against the cut .

" Oh no worries" he says
I walk over to him and grab his hand pulling him behind me , I go to find a patch of seaweed.

I see a patch in the corner of a large rock.

" Sit" I say gesturing to the rock .
He sits and watches me gather seaweed.  I sit next to him and dab a small patch of seaweed to the cut .

" Ouch" He says flinching
" Skxawng, your boredness could have got you killed" I say smirking slightly

" Oh , so she smiles" He says looking at me

We are about a inch apart , I push the seaweed harder onto his kneck.

" Shit, ok God my bad" he says
" I'm good now "
I drop the seaweed onto the sand and stand up .

" Come skxawng " I say walking away
He runs up to beside me.

I climb up onto a small rock and wait for him to follow .

" Come lets go" I say impatiently
I climb onto a tree trunk and jump to the next, Neteyam swifly following me.

As we reach the clan I hop down from the tree to the beach. I look to the sun that was now falling into the distance.

Neteyam looks at the sun in wonder.

I smile
" Never seen a sunset before " I say nudging him

" Not like this" He says still staring at the sun

I look to see the clan gathering for dinner
" Come Shxawng" I say walking up the beach .

We walk over to where everyone was eating .

I see everyone look up at Neteyam as we walk past . He bows his head and I see the shame in his eyes.

"Quick" I whisper as we quickly walk past the large group .

I see my mother , she furrows her eyebrows at me.

Yep I'm going to hear of this later .

We walk along the rope towards Neteyams hut.

He looks back to the rest of the clan.

" They'll lighten up " I say looking straight ahead.

" Sure they will " He sighs
I take his hand and squeeze it.

He freezes and looks at me
I let go of his hand then carry on walking .

"Oh wait here for a sec" I say rushing back to the clan

I pick up a large sack of food and run back to Neteyam.

I push it to his chest .
" There" I say
"Thankyou y/n" he says looking into my eyes

My eyes fluster and I look down.

"There's your hut" I say as we reach it

"Would you like to come in?" He asks
" Oh I should get back to my family" I say

"Ok,  see you tomorrow " He says
" Uh yep " I say quickly looking at him then walking away

Why was he staring at me like that? With his yellow eyes and...

I slap myself in the face .
Whats wrong with me , no they are not to be trusted . I put that thought to the back of my mind and walk to the rest of the clan.
