"Dad, meet adam" (maxxadam)

Today was the day, the day that Max's dad (David) finally met Adam. Max and Adam made plans to hang out for a few hours at his house that weekend, those plans slowly turned into Adam spending the night at Max's house when they started dating. They both decided to introduce Adam to David as Max's friend and a month after he'd tell him that they were dating. And David said he was fine with it, Gwen agreed aswell. Max was really excited to introduce Adam to his parents, and honestly he was just excited to hang out with Adam outside of school. Adam was excited to spend time with max aswell.

That's when the doorbell rang, and max raced downstairs and to the door, as soon as he opened it, he was attacked with a hug by Adam. "Max!" Adam exclaimed. "Hi Adam!" Max smiled back.

David walked into the room and waited for Max and Adam to separate, Gwen thought it was childish for them to be so excited to see each other, even though they saw each other at school yesterday. But they liked seeing each other a lot. After max and Adam finally let go of each other, max turned to David. "Dad, meet Adam!" Max said. David greated Adam with a somehow enthusiastic handshake. "Why hello! Its so great to finally meet you! I've heard so much about you, max seems very happy to have a friend like you! He always talks about you!" David was really excited to meet the boy max has been talking about ever since he first talked about him. "He does?" Adam asked, smirking at max while max was blushing a bit. And Gwen noticed. She immediately had her theory's but stuck to herself. After almost 30 minutes of Adam and David talking, max and Adam went up to maxs room to do god knows what. Homework turned into drawing, drawing turned into watch the tv, tv turned into watching tiktok together. They never really stuck with an activity.

"Your dad mentioned that you talk about me a lot, is that true?" Adam looked at max, Max hated that stupid smirk. His face turned a bright red. "uhm, well I guess? But I have a reason for it! Its just im always around you and-" "I dont need you to explain, I think its cute." Adam interrupted max. He blushed even more. Adam always thought max was adorable when he was flustered. Even when they weren't dating. So, to make him even more flustered, Adam kissed Max. After the kiss, Max's face was a dark red. He tried to say something, but all that came out was stammering.

After a few more hours of plain nothingness and cleaning crayons off the floor, David walks into the room and says it's almost time for bed and that they should get ready to go to sleep.

Once they got ready to end the day, David brought Adam a twin-sized mattress for him to sleep on. One David shut the door though, max immediately pulled Adam onto his bed to sleep with him instead.

Max rested his head on adams chest and Adam had his arm around max, it was kinda early for them to go to sleep so they stood up looking at nothingness, there was a comfortable silence between them

"Adam, when we first met, why'd you stick up for me like that?" Max broke the silence between them. Adam was caught off guard with that kind of question. "There's a lot of reasons, one I'm embarrassed about too, but I stuck up for you because you didn't deserve to be treated like that. I saw that fearful look in your eyes when he rolled up your sleeves, so I wanted to help you in anyway I could." Adam explained.

"And the one I'm embarrassed about is because I really liked you before we talked for the first time, ever since I layed eyes on you, you seemed like such a gentle, sweet, caring person. You never showed you love in normal ways, but your friends got the message, you don't immediately forgive the people who have wronged you. The way you stare into others eyes..it was hard not to fall for you. You still are all of those things."

Max was caught so off guard with that reason. Was he being serious? "you don't mean that." Max sat up on the bed. Adam sat up with him. "I do, what makes you say I don't?"

"Oh, just the fact that I'm a literal burden to the people I love, as soon as we started being friends we'd constantly get detention, I told Nikki it was ok to hurt her bully, and your one of Brian's targets now." Max looked over at his nightstand instead of at Adam. Adam slightly lifted his chin to face him. "Don't say that Max. I don't give a flying fuck about what happens to me, it won't change the fact that im still madly inlove with you." Adam said with a gentle tone.

"Now, let's go to sleep, please? I'm tired as fuck."

Max and Adam layed back down and cuddled. Adam wouldn't go to sleep until he felt Max's breathing steady. He fell asleep holding max without the intent on letting him go.

In the morning, max woke up without Adam with him, he just thought Adam went home, until he faintly heard his voice downstairs. Skeptical, Max got ready and walked downstairs and into the kitchen where a stern David, smirking Gwen and anxious Adam sat.

"Now that you 2 boys are here, i think we need to talk." David said, max just sat down. "Last night. I checked on you both while you were sleeping and saw you guys.."

"Oh my god, im so so sorry sir I-"
"We're dating." Max cut Adam off. David was shocked, he had just met this boy yesterday and he already got the news that he was dating his son. Not that he cared who max was dating, as long as it's not someone who would taken advantage of him.

After max explained everything, David felt bad about not realizing they were dating before, there were many hints and he never even realized it. "Max, I really don't care who you choose to date, you know that, as long as you're happy." David said, a look of vulnerability in his eyes. "That's not why I didn't wanna tell you, you've never met Adam before in person and I never mentioned the fact that I ever liked him or that we're dating. I thought it would be weird if Adam just showed up and already he's dating me. We've been dating for over a month now." Max explained.

"Ok, well you 2 go spend the rest of the time you have together, don't do anything David wouldnt do" Gwen shooed them away.

Max and Adam chose to stay in Max's room before Adam left. Til this day it still puzzles Gwen what they did up there.
