It is the morning after Jaune and Blake have met.
The morning fog at the edge of the forest gave it a creepy vibe that could not be shaken off easily.

But the fog was not the only thing that loomed over the forest that morning. An assortment of shadows passed three the forest.

A snap of a branch could be heard, as two pairs of eyes, one pair sapphire blue, and the other amber, snapped open.

Blake instantly got up into a crochet position and put her hand on the handle of her weapon.
Jaune on the other hand pulled out his daggers and strung them to his treads.

"What a way to wake up." he started as he lazily got up.

"I had worse wake-up calls." Blake stated.

"Same. What do you reckon we dealing with?" he asked.

"I dought anything serious. A few goblins at most." she answered looking around, trying to pick up their targets with her enhanced senses.

"They won't engage us." stated Jaune.

Blake raised an eyebrow at that.
"How do you know that?" she asked.

"Goblins may be weak, but in numbers can become dangerous. They also prefer to lay traps and ambushes, as to maximize their chances of success." he explained.

"You seem to know a lot about goblins." she started.

"I wasn't able to fight for a long time. So I've spent my time studying and researching monsters so I would be prepared." he started.

As he said that he caught wind of a shadow... A shadow too big for a normal goblin.

"Fuck, they got a hobgoblin at least. That's will make it difficult." he cursed his luck.

"How can u tell that?" she asked looking around.

"Shadow, too big for a normal goblin. My best guess is that the entire tribe came looking for the scouts I killed." he started.

"You got a plan?" she asked.

"I got an idea. Be ready to cut down whatever comes out of the fog." he announced and Blake simply nodded while unsheathing her weapon.

Jaune redied his daggers and aimed them at what seemed like the most likely spot where the little pests would be hiding.

He launched the strings with the dangers at the end into the fog one at the time.
The first one hit the bark of a tree, while the second one hit a mark.
A bloody screech echoed and Jaine pulled back the strings retrieving his weapons, as well as fishing out a goblin.

Said goblin came loose mid-air while he was retrieving his strings and was flying towards them, dagger in hand trying to take someone with him to his shallow grave.

With one clean swing, Blake cut the little pest in two.

"That's one." she counted.

Jaune created a third string and added a third danger to his arsenal.

"Never thought I would be fishing for fog goblins." he stated.

Blake laughed at that.
"At least it will make for a good story." she between chuckles.

Jaune redied his daggers and shot...

3 misses.

"Darn, they aren't biting!" he mocked.

Another cast of his resulted in another hit.
As he pulled, he almost got knocked off his feet, as he meet resistance this time.

"It's a bit one! Won't be able to pull that one in!" he announced.
