This is a big one.
I read thru it a couple of times but can't guarantee it to be perfect.
Also, I lied it's not a fat chapter, it's a fucking anvil of a chapter.
Good luck!

The fateful day has finally dawned.
Upon waking up from an alcohol-induced coma, caused by the previous day's celebrations, Jaune woke his two guild members, and barely dodging death by a dagger, courtesy of on sleepy gremlin, and went out to get an early morning breakfast.

He went to get a heft bowl of ramen at a stand manned by an old man, who he swears has like a dozen different jobs.

After finishing his ramen, he paid up and looked at his scroll.
8:55 it read.

"There is a path true the Emerald forest towards Beacon, right?" Jaune asked the old man.

"Yes, it's a bit out from the north gate. Why are you asking?" the old man asked.

"Beacon is substituting the association, by letting people get the license at their tryouts. And Beacon being of the biggest and most famous guilds, I reckon that every bullhead flying up there will be filed to the brim." Explained Jaune.

"So you are taking a way that you are guaranteed to get there on time. Smart." the old man stated before he at speed unimaginably prepared a to-go cup of ramen and handed it to Jaune.

"Here, take this on the house. The way up is a long and difficult one. You will need the energy." stated the old man.

Jaune smiled and took the cup and stored it in his storage ring.

"Thanx, I owe you one." stated Jaune.

"You owe me nothing. I can see you had a thought life and are trying to make ends meet. You remind me of myself kid, but smarter. Say what's your name kid." he started.

"The name is Cross, Jaune Cross. I'm the man who will create a guild that will overshadow the likes of Beacon and Atlas." Jaune proclaimed teaching his hands to the sky.

The old man looked at him and could not suppress the feeling of Deja Vu. A memory flashed in his mind, of a time long past.

Flashback.

"Kid, I tell you. I will make a name for myself. I will become a great hunter. I will make my name known around the world. I will make my family proud." announced a 22-year-old with medium-length blonde hair tied up in a wolf tail in the back, blue eyes, and a wide grin on his face. He wore a dark red coat over a pink button-up shirt with the top button undone.

"You are crazy Roger. And I'm not a kid, I'm already 9!" shouted the kid that would become the old man.

Roger laughed.
"Just you wait and see. I'll be on the greatest hunter in all of remnant!" proclaimed Roger, reaching his hands out to the sky.

Flashback end.

The old man could not help but smile. Thinking if he should tell him that he reminds him of the man that became the greatest hunter in history, but decided not to.

"I'll be waiting for that day. But I believe you should get going, the trip up to Beacon will take you a good while." he started.

"Alright. Thanx again old man." stated Jaune as he departed.

"You don't have to thank me. Just stop by, when you are on the top." shouted the old man, to a leaving Jaune.

"Will do." Jaune shouted, not looking back but waving his hand.

Making his way three the city he went through the gate and made his way to the path leading through the Emerald forest.

It was a few minutes in that he realized something.
