You sat in the corner of the current coach of the train you were in. "I guess Cloud won't be with us after all..." you heard Wedge murmur. You scoff and roll your eyes, though you were still remained unsettled from the encounter from before, you were more than sure Cloud was fine, and with that Biggs had voiced out your thoughts for you. Suddenly, a banging was heard on the outside of the train and you tensed. Pulling your hood down once again as you stared at where the sound had came from. You heard clicking sounds coming from Barret, meaning he was loading the gun on his arm, "on my go." Biggs nodded at his command and quickly opened the door only for Cloud to slide in. The wind howling as she opened but it shut off as Barret slid the door close. Your eyebrows were raised as you spotted a flower on him, but you made you got up and made your way to him nevertheless.
"You had me worried for a minute, ugh..." Barret said to which the statement took you and everyone else surprised, even Barret himself as he coughed and pointed his gum arm at Cloud. "The hell you been up to? Huh?!"
Cloud stared at the gun arm before answering, "giving Public Security the runaround. Had to draw them away from the station somehow." Ah, no wonder the station was so empty when you arrived. Because they were all hounding Cloud. Biggs and Jessie said their thanks to him as you stood next to Wedge. "Wait. Got a question for you all," he said. You looked at him, wondering if he encountered the same guy you had, however what he said next was completely different of what you experienced. "Ever been attacked by an invisible enemy? Wearing robes. Came and went like the wind."
You thinned your lips once again as you heard that, if what he said was the same thing you were envisioning...you shook your head slightly, you didn't want to think about that topic anymore. "Thought they were invisible," Barret said, doubt noticable in his voice. Cloud looked at him, "they were-at first. Only saw them after she grabbed me..."
Your eyes widened, a glimmer of hope forming inside of you. Cloud turned to look at you, as if feeling you knew something. He looked at you and your lips parted slightly before thinning again. 'I'll tell you later', you tried to tell him. He looked at you and blinked twice, 'yes'. The chocobo haired man sighed and shook his head, "never mind, forget I said anything."
Barret huffed, "suit yourself. C'mon let's move up." The rest of Avalanche followed the man while you and Cloud stayed back in the coach. Cloud stared at you, "what do you know?" You look at him and shooke your head.
"Not here, this is not a good place to tell you. When we reach somewhere safe in Sector 7 perhaps. I have something to ask of you too while we're at it," you answered him. You looked to his chest at where the flower was located and you shifted your gaze back to Cloud. "Where'd you get the flower from? I don't remember seeing anything like that when I was at Loveless Street." As if remembering he had it, Cloud looked at the flower and took it out of his strap and handed it to you.
"Here. For you."
You look at him and then at the flower and smile. Gently taking the flower and placing it underneaath a strap on your hip as you look back at Cloud you flash him another quick smile, "thank you...it's beautiful." The man stared at you for a while before giving a hasty nod and turning around. You silently followed after him as he went inside another coach. To which revealed to be cramped with many other citizens. Your eyes scan around the room, observing the many faces, the majority of them seem to be conflicted or worried. A small amount of them were silently sobbing, head lowered and silently praying to whatever god.
You continued on to the next coach to see Jessie at the end of it, she notices the both of you and beckons you two to come to her. Once you approach her she smiles and puts her hands on her hips, "alright, let's get this out of the way, personally, I find visual aids make the dull stuff a lot more bearable. If it helps, think of it as an initiation rite."
