Byul Yi had been sitting on the hard wooden stool in the corner of the room for a few hours. She watched Eunuch Han who does his chores in silence. Ever since this home was made, the Eunuch is the only person who can enter and leave this place without anyone noticing.

His duties weren't any different from those of everyone else, except that he performed them out of respect and loyalty to the crown prince, without asking for anything in return. At the same time, he works for her too considering that his parents once served her family years ago. No one questioned him about why he does things the way he does. Afterall, the prince had spoken about how he trusts him more than anyone else.

Her eyes then observed his face for the hundredth time during that day. She could tell how identical he looks to Seok Jin's friend. To her it was ridiculous and at the same time amazing, how two people can look very similar to each other. Suddenly she remembers why she needed his presence at that exact moment. "Stop right there," she called out, making the Eunuch turn around slowly.

Wide-eyed, he pointed at himself with both hands and asked, "Me?" Byul Yi nods in response. "What is it, Your Highness?" She could hear the concern in his voice.

"Can you not-" Byul Yi stopped mid sentence, sighing. "There's something important I left somewhere."

"Do you want me to look for it, Yeong Hui?" He asked as his voice became lower when he called her by her name. As she nodded, the Eunuch immediately asked, "What is it you that you wanted?"

"A knife."

"A knife- ah, what is it this time?" The Eunuch shook his head, as if he knew the answer even without asking, but he still asked anyway. "What do you need a knife for?"

She gave him an exasperated sigh. "I'll cut you tongue if you don't bring it this instant!" When the Eunuch opened his mouth to protest, she added, "I swear if you say anything, I'll-"

"Alright, alright. I'll go get it." His lips turned down into a frown. "But why does it have to be a blade?"

"Eunuch," Byul Yi called impatiently. "Just give it here, please." The Eunuch obliged, taking her request and coming back almost immediately to hand over the knife. But she only stared at it while he held it with both hands.

"Stab me," she orders.

"Huh?"

"Stab me," she repeated, her eyes remain fixed on the handle of the knife, in which the Eunuch immediately dropped on the floor as he bowed in front of her.

"I would never do such thing, Yeong-!" The Eunuch gasped dramatically. Byul Yi chuckles lowly, watching how he bows in front of her. The Eunuch had such a dramatic presence but there was nothing fake about his sincerity. "I would rather die!"
