Into the Woods and Deep In the Woods...

  The trip to the unknown location was very silent. None of us talked to each other except for exchanging information on the direction to the location. It was almost an hour drive from home. Still curious about what we are going to encounter, we continued to reach our unknown destination. At last, we did and we did not like our location. The coordinate led us to a remote forest without any signboards on the sides of the road. First, Jessie hesitated to go into the forest but eventually agreed reluctantly when we insisted on her. As we walked into the forest with our tiny flashlights towards the pitch black night, we heard wolf-like howls and barks coming from the other side of the forest and decided to check it out.
          Halfway through the thick forest, we encountered an abandoned ritual site which seemed to have been done by a witch in the forest. Samuel and I changed our plans quickly and informed Anne and Jessie “We are not going to the other side of the forest, you both are going there, while Samuel and I are checking out the abandoned ritual site”. Again, Jessie was very scared and wasn’t agreeing with the plans changed. She preferred to not split up into 2 groups. Because of Samuel’s dominating attitude, he forced her to follow Anne to check out on the other side of the forest. Reluctantly she finally did. Jessie and Anne went on walking into the dark forest on their own.
          It was already 10p.m. and the forest was a mysterious cold land with creatures lurking, trust me, you may never know what appears in front of you and hunts you down. Samuel and I went, well, trespassed the abandoned ritual site which we claimed to be done by a witch. I whispered to him, “Samuel, I want you to find something that spooks you out and can spook the rest of us out as well. Bring it to me and I’ll keep it in my traveling bag”. He nodded silently and went on with the given task, while I too had carried the same task. Almost a half an hour, we failed to find anything which seemed bizarre or creepy looking. Just a bunch of twigs and rocks which looked normal. Then appeared a dim yellow light coming from a wrecked hut which we realized that it wasn’t there a moment ago. The hut is so near to the abandoned site, which is very easy for Samuel and me to realize its existence. Our thoughts ran together and decided to go check out the wrecked ‘witch’ hut.
