Lemonpaw shivered. The snow covered his pale yellow pelt and his amber eyes glowed.
"Lemonpaw, get out here, we need to go hunting; now!" Wolfdust growled and Lemonpaw shuddered. Wolfdust had gotten even harsher than the leaf-bare.
"Ok." Lemonpaw looked downwards at his paws. They sunk deeply into the wet snow.
"Pebblestar has ordered me to get us to hunt on Solarclan terrotory. I wouldn't normally recommend this but we are desperate; so we must." Wolfdust grumbled and Lemonpaw sighed. He hated Wolfdust; but he understood why Wolfdust was like that. He growled and Lemonpaw let out a loud sigh.
"Lemonpaw, be careful, we're about to cross the border." Wolfdust whispered and Lemonpaw followed Wolfdust carefully. He smelt the border but he carefully stepped over.
"I'm scared." Lemonpaw whispered and Wolfdust let out a low growl.
"I smell rabbit." Wolfdust whispered and he looked around. Lemonpaw noticed a creature moving. Lemonpaw crept forwards and he was going deeper and deeper into the snow. Lemonpaw lept forwards, he managed to kill the scrawny rabbit. He held it in his jaws and he booked it. He ran towards Wolfdust.
"Eclipseclan!" A brown she-cat yowled and her patrol charged towards him. Lemonpaw dashed behind Wolfdust and he whimpered.
"Good catc- Blossomfire." Wolfdust began but he cut himself off and growled.
"Nice to see you Wolfdust." Blossomfire snarled and Wolfdust stepped forwards.
"We need to hunt here, we're starving; I can tell that you're starving too. I can see your ribs!" Wolfdust teased and Blossomfire stepped forwards.
"Give us the rabbit." Blossomfire stared at Lemonpaw. Lemonpaw dropped the rabbit.
"N...n...no! I-I won't give it to you stupid mouse-brain!" Lemonpaw stammered and he stared at the Solarclan deputy. Her green eyes burned into his. Lemonpaw picked up the rabbit and dashed off. He kept running even though his paws hurt.
He ran into the elder's den. He stared at the elders, they were skinny and he could count their ribs. He dropped the rabbit in there and they smiled. They turned to eachother.
"We all agreed on this." Grapefur meowed and Lemonpaw stood there confused.
"It's my turn, when we get the next piece of prey it's Whiskerbreeze's. Then yours Grapefur, then finally Dewnose's." Snakefang meowed and they all nodded their heads. Snakefang hooked the scrawny rabbit with her claws and she bit into it. Lemonpaw turned away.
"Lemonpaw, we need to hunt more." Wolfdust meowed and they padded away and through the snow.
