Chapter 4

"My name's Rogue."

"Um, can you put me down?" He nodded and put me down. I took a few wobbly steps, and feel.

"Ow..." I whined.

He picked me up, piggy back style this time. I whispered the words, "Off to adventure!" to myself.

We grouped up with a blonde man and a brown exceed. I just noticed that a green exceed was with us.

Rogue's POV

"Sting, I found someone."

"Why're you carrying a guy?" Sting asked.

I rolled my eyes. "He's one of the hostages, I think. There were a lot more, but they were all dead and decayed."

He tilted his head. He probably didn't see the other lacrima crystals.

"You never told me your name," the boy just sweat dropped. Did I say something stupid?

Nicola's POV

How has he meet heard of me?! Not to sound cocky but, how do they not know me?! "I'm Nicola, the Bloody Reaper Akledama. At least, that's what I'm titled."

Rogue and Sting's eyes widened. Yup, they recognized me.

"Y-You're the Bloody Reaper!?" they yelled in unison.

"Yup." Awkward silence took place for a few minutes.

Sting smirked and laughed. "HAHAHA!! Wow! You look weaker than I imagined!!!"

People like this ticked me off. I bish-slapped him across the face, causing the cave to echo loudly.

"DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME, DICK-FACE! YOU WILL HAVE A FOOT UP YO ASS IN 2 SECONDS!"

Sting just glared at me and sighed. "You're a fairy, right? Every single member is underestimated. Haven't you heard? Your weakling dropped in the ranks seven years ago and disbanded."

Dropped the ranks? Seven years?

"You're joking right?"

Rogue POV

What the hell is Sting trying to do?

"I guess you have no other choice than to join our guild. Right?" Sting sighed.

"No, Fairy Tail would never do that. What keeps the guild strong is its relationships with others." Nicola couldn't accept it, but she is right. They just wouldn't disband.

"It's not about relationships. It's about losing their top members to a dragon and not being able to pay taxes. They're gone, Nico." Sting looked at Nicola in the eye, making sure that she heard him correctly. "Join our guild, it actually has something to live for."

Nicola "tched" and averted eye contact. I think he won him over to joining our guild.

After one torturing train ride, we headed back into town. It was midnight, so I decided that I'd bring Nicola to my apartment for the night and take him to the guild tomorrow.

When we got to my apartment, I lead Nicola to the guest room. At least, I thought I was. I trend around and he wasn't there... "(Y/N)?!?!" I cried out. I heard giggling coming from the living room and walked over there to find Frosch teaching Nicola how to walk without stumbling. I wonder how long he was inside that lacrima...

"I think I can make it down the hallway, now!" Nicola exclaims.

"Fro thinks so too!" Frosch giggles. I mentally smile to myself as I watch Nicola walk.

Nicola's POV

I walk down the hallway successfully and jump up I to the air laughing, "I did it! Did you guys see that? I walked down the hallway!"

Fro giggles while Rogue opened the door that was behind me. "You will be staying in this room until we can find a place for you to stay."

I thank him with a smile. "Thanks, Rogue. I'll have to repay you when I can."

He just nods as a response and goes into his room with Fro following behind him.

Little did I know, I was falling in love with the man who just rescued me..
