Chapter 25:The zebra's past

TW:THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS DEATH AND ABUSE.

After Mousy heard what Soldier had said, she was so shocked, she didn't know Zizzy would do something like that.

Mousy:Zizzy? She couldn't have possibly had done that, could she? I need to confront her about this.

Mousy sent Zizzy a text asking her to come over to her house for something urgent.

*Timeskip to the evening(the soldier twins are asleep btw)*

Zizzy sat on the couch with Mousy, drinking the golden flower tea Mousy made for her.

Zizzy:You called me here for something urgent, what is it?

Mousy looked at the floor tensley, she inhaled and exhaled and went straight to the point.

Mousy:I have a friend, his name is Soldier and he happened to tell me that you have something to do with Thomas and Torcher's dissappearences. Is this true?

Zizzy looked shocked and nervous at the same time. She didn't think Mousy and Soldier were friends and that Mousy would figure out what she's been doing.

Zizzy POV:SH*T SH*T SH*T! THAT DAMN SOLDIER! WHAT DO I DO?!

Zizzy internally calmed down and looked down at Mousy.

Zizzy:W-w-why in the world would I d-d-o that? I wouldn't do that to anyo-o-one! E-ver!
Mousy:I know your lying Zizzy, you sweat when you're nervous and stutter when you lie.
Zizzy:*sigh*There's no fooling you is there?
Mousy:Why would you do that Zizzy? I thought you knew better than this.
Zizzy:I do I do! It's just that-th-that.
Mousy:Take your time, I'll get you some more golden tea.

Mousy went to the kitchen and made some golden tea for herself and Zizzy, she went to the couch and gave her the tea. After a few minutes, Zizzy gathered the courage to speak.

Mousy:Now that you're calm and comfortable, please answer my question.
Zizzy:I did it for my father. He wants revenge against those soldiers.
Mousy:What happened?
Zizzy:Here's the story.

Paul was in the house with his daughters, Zizzy, Zee and Zuzy. Zee and Zuzy were surprisingly asleep while Zizzy looked at the door worryingly.

Paul:Zizzy you look bothered, what's wrong?
Zizzy:I'm worried about her, she's fighting in the war alongside the enemy soldiers.
Paul:Young lady, in this household, we don't call them the enemy.
Zizzy:But she's trying to overthrow the president for power. What she's doing is wrong!
Paul:Think about it Zizzy. Think about how popular we all could be when she overthrows the president and claims the country.

Zizzy went silent. She knew this was all wrong and that her mother needed to be stopped but at the same time, she didn't want anything bad to happen to her. She was so conflicted and lost in her thoughts until the door broke down and there they saw two soldiers whom her mother was fighting against.

Soldier 1:You two need to leave immediately, your in danger here.
Paul:Wha-
Zizzy:Dad, they've got a point. We're sitting ducks here and anything could happen to us. We could get killed here and this environment is too violent for the baby twins.

Paul stood in silence.

Paul:Fine, can we at least get my twin daughters?
Soldier 2:Hurry up! There's not much time!

Paul and Zizzy ran up stairs and got the zebra twins. They ran out of the house and got to the tank. As they went, they saw Zizzy's mom, Louisiana, struggling to take the soldier down.

Paul:Louisiana!
Soldier 1:You know her?!
Zizzy:That's my mom!

The two soldiers stood there in shock.

Paul:We need to help her!

Louisiana saw them and screamed for their help. Paul got out to her, as he got out, he felt gun shots at him from different places and started to get weak. Zizzy noticed that she had enough time to save on of them. But because her dad was nearer to her and he couldn't defend himself unlike her mother could, so she pulled him back into the tank.

Zizzy:Sorry dad but we have to get out of here.
Paul:But your mother-
Zizzy:Someone else will help her all I know is that you need to be treated!
Soldier 1:Your daughter's right you know.
Paul:I don't care I have to save her!

The first soldier slammed the door and the second one drove the tank out of the city. After they bandaged Paul, they waited for the others to let them know if the war was over and after a few hours, they were told that they could return to the city.

After they returned, they saw her lying dead on the floor, Paul fell on his knees and held Louisiana in his arms while Zizzy stared in shock and sadness and even started shaking while holding Zee and Zuzy in her arms. After Paul processed what happened, his emotions changed from sadness to anger, anger at her daughter.

Paul:We're going home now.

Zizzy nodded and followed her dad while still shaking because she hadn't processed what she had saw.

After they got home, Paul looked at Zizzy like she had killed someone in front of him.

Zizzy:D-dad, are you al-ri-ght?

Paul slapped Zizzy in the face so hard it left a mark(which wasn't permanent) Zizzy fell to the floor and held the cheek that her dad slapped. Paul then pulled her hair aggressively making Zizzy yell in pain.

Paul:IT'S YOUR FAULT YOUR MOTHER IS DEAD! IF YOU LET ME SAVE HER SHE WOULD BE HERE RIGHT NOW!
Zizzy:It's not my fault-
Paul:YOU PULLED ME OUT OF THE WAY OF SAVING YOUR MOM! HOW CAN YOU SAY IT WASN'T YOUR FAULT!!!

Paul kept beating up Zizzy until she became unconscious.

Zizzy:The real reason why I'm doing this is to redeem myself and make dad accept me as his daughter.
Mousy:Oh my gosh I-I'm incredibly sorry to hear what you had gone through.
Zizzy:Don't be, it's not your fault.
Mousy:I understand why you're doing this but be honest, do you really think your father would treat you differently after this? Because it sounds like he still abuses you.

Zizzy went silent and looked at the floor with a sad expression.

Mousy:He still does that you, doesn't he?
Zizzy:Yes.... but after I get rid of the soldiers, I won't be getting that treatment anymore. He told me himself.
Mousy:Zizzy can't you see that he's just using you for his own gain?
Zizzy:...
Mousy:Zizzy your an intelligent girl, you know as well as I do that he only sees you as a tool he can use for his gains.
Zizzy:I know
Mousy:So tell me Zizzy, what's the point of this?
Zizzy:The point is that my dad won't treat me like sh*t anymore and I can be with Pony again!
Mousy:*sigh* It seems I can't convince you but I just hope you can change your ways.

Zizzy got up to and left Mousy's house.

Mousy:I hope she finds out that what she's doing is hopeless, meanwhile, I'll have to tell Soldier about this.
