Y/n pov ~
I heard noises from outside. I lightly jumped out of my soft y/f/c sheets and made my way to the living room. I saw Leif? Leif was jumping about the apartment then opened Ava's door. I followed after him and managed to slip through just before he closed the door. I leapt into the top left corner in the shadows. I watched closely at Leif who lifted his scythes above Ava's head. Just when he was about to strike and a dagger stopped him.
"You, what are you doing here?!" They whispered in sync. Leif answered back.
"Killing her, what does it look like?"
"No, you aren't, because I'm here to kill her." Noi whispered back angrily.
"You?" He laughed "That's a good one."
"Hey, what's so funny? I've done it before." Poor Noi.
"You're too weak to do it properly. A human this nice and powerful deserves to be ended by me, besides, you always hesitate." I jump out of the shadows.
"Leif stop being so mean." I said siting on Ava's bed.
"Please, you'll never be on my level, I'm trained to do this. You got to be one of Asch's knights because he felt pity." He ignored me and continued his conversation.
"Shut up, I can do this." He hesitated when he was supposed to strike his dagger down.
"See, you hesitate." I wack him in the face. Now he acknowledges my existence.
"Shut up!" Then Rhys bursts into room. "
What are you 2 doing in here? If she wakes up she's going to kill us." He was indicating to me.
"If I wanted to kill them I would have already done so." I said scowling at Leif.
"All the more reason for us to kill her first!" I turned around and gave him the middle finger.
"You mean me." I roll my eyes.
"Please Noi as if, killing humans isn't your forte." I said pissed off by Leif.
"You 3 are acting like complete children, not only that but you are disobeying Asch's orders to keep her as a prisoner." I roll my eyes back at him and move my finger towards him.
"She can be a dead prisoner!"
"A useful prisoner."
"You know what? I'm tired of this entire journey already. We've been going back and forth on idea since we got here and none of us are acting normal as we usually are." I don't know why, I felt like I was just stabbed in the back. I didn't feel or hear anything thing all I felt was Angry. Blinded by rage.
"Part of the plan is to not have one, we are accustomizing ourselves to this world, as a former assassin you should know a thing or 2 about blending into your surroundings."
"Get. Out. Now." I said one word by one.
"Who do you think you're talking to?!" Leif retaliates
"A pompous ass." I said staring him down. Ava made a small noise.
"We need to leave. We're going to wake her up." Rhys warned once more
"Oh please, for a human sorcerer this human has the flaw of sleeping too heavy which makes her an easy target, besides, if she hasn't woken up by now there's nothing that could possibly-"
"Listen here, Leif" I said practically spitting out his name as if it was laced with venom.
"I usually don't need to tell someone twice. GET. OUT!" Then her phone rang. Of course it was Lorelai. I gave him one last stare down and shoved him out. I looked at Rhys and Noi and they nodded. They swiftly left, careful not to anger me more. I closed the door behind them. I woke up and pressed answer on Ava's phone. Then Lorelai's voice rang out.
"Hey Ava!" She said in her bubbly voice. Ava yawns and rubs her eyes. I was leaning against her wall smirking. I mouth to Ava 'Good morning' sarcastically. She groans and picks up the phone.
"Yes, Lorelai, I'm here." She said yawning once more.
"How ya doing, Girl? You wanna come hang?" Ava rolls her eyes.
"Are you kidding me right now? Why are you calling me so late? Do you know what time it is?"
"Uhm it's 8 pm."
"Exactly, bedtime." Ava responded and smacking her head into the pillow.
"Aww come on, Ava, you need to get out and have some fun." Good luck persuading Ava, she's as stubborn as a mule.
"I have plenty of fun in my bed, Lorelai." She retaliated back.
"Okay, well at least call me to chat about what your doing."
"I don't like to talk to talk that much, you know that." Ava said
"Hmm, let me think then..." Lorelai said, That don't sound too good.
"Huh?"
"Okay then, how about you get instagram? That way you can post fun pictures about you and I can get to know you without ever seeing you in person." That's fun. She can finally be less socially awkward.
"Isn't that just called stalking?"
"No, it's called following."
"That doesn't sound any better."
"Trust me, you'll have a blast, I bet you're more interesting then you think."
"I'm really not."
"Ooh, dessert! Gotta go, Ava. Make an instagram account and let me know your insta, k? Bye!" Lorelai finished the call, then a boy's voice rang out.
"You know Ava isn't going to make an Instagram, right?"
"For real. I can't believe you kept in contact with her after high school." Kristin.
"Well, it's an interesting story really but she's-" Lorelai!
"Let me guess. She doesn't have any friends still, right?" I swear this bitch doesn't have any good to do with his life.
"She didn't have any friends except for that weird transfer kid from Asia. So she's probably a charity case for you, huh?" Kristin added. My teeth clenched. Wonderful way to end my day.
"Well, I mean..." Come on Lorelai, why are you friends with these idiots?
"It's hard to imagine Ava with an instagram account, she'd get like no followers from how boring she is."
"I heard she was stupidly self absorbed in high school, she acted like she was above everyone else and was rude af." Little BITCH. Jealous much.
"Probably because of her dad's job." Who is this dude? WHO THE FUCK DOES HE THINK HE IS?
"Just do yourself a favour Lor and leave her in the past like high school." CRACK
There was a huge dent in the wall. My fist was in the middle of the crack and Ava hung up. She turned around and went back to sleep. I left angrily. I slammed her door shut and looked over to see the daemos looking back at me.
"I'll be in my room." I said with grimace, the daemos glance at me worriedly. I spin round to my room and turned the lights red. Screamed. My head was spinning fast and my vision was blurry. I grabbed a vase and threw it at the wall.
CRASH
I punched my wood pillar faster and faster. I punched it so hard I felt blood on my knuckles but I kept going. I jabbed at each side of the wood making huge dents in the pillar. I felt the pain going up through my blood and I was just about to strike another punch. Then something stopped me. I felt a strong hand on my arm and turned to face Leif? I tried to shake his grasp off me.
"Your bleeding!" Then he hoisted me up - bridal style - to my bed. He ignored all of my protests and sat me down. He knelt on the floor looking at the damage. I pull my hands away and avoid his gaze.
"I don't need help-" I said but I was cut off with Leif tackling me to the ground.
"You need help!"
"No I don't!" We both fought, pushing each other back on the floor. I fell tired quickly. Leif was sitting up on me, winking at me. I was blushing. Hard.
"You and your flirty ass." I said as he pulled me up from the floor. He lifted me to my bed, put his hands over my wound and green light came from his hand. I started feeling tinge of magic, I lift my hand away when he was done. They looked and felt good.
SLAM!
I heard Ava's door hit the wall and picked up my phone.
"Come on let's go." Me and Leif walked to the living room whilst Ava tried to take a 'sexy' picture for her insta and caught Leif and Asch in it.
"I'm gonna destroy Lorelai's stupid friends with an instagram more popular than theirs."
"AHHHHHH!"
"AHHHHHH!"
"AHHHHHH!"
"D-Did you see that?!" Leif said conserned at what he just saw. Yep. He just saw himself in ava's 'MaGicC SLaB'
"She took our bodies into that thing!" Asch yelled.
"What?" Ava said confused as usual.
"Look Asch, she's wearing her source of power!" Leif yelled point at her bra? Omg- ARE THEY STILL BANGING ON ABOUT THAT?
