The Girl That Caught His Eye - MID - Leif X Reader

The Date

Y/n pov ~
After the journey back home, I went back to my room to change into a cute outfit. I quickly peeked thought the door to see Leif hand Ava the card and she busted into fangirly mode. Basically jumping up and down like a lunatic. I sigh at my friend and closed the door. I sat infront of my closet looking at my two options.

I couldn't decide!! The first outfit was a very casual look. It  had a white cropped top and some brown, comfy joggers. There was a mint green button jacket and a necklace to top it off. If I picked either outfit I would wear high thigh socks and platform sneaks. The second outfit was a bit shorter. There was a turtleneck, long sleeved black top and a matching olive plaid intertwined with white two set. It consisted of a cropped blazer and a cute  but short skirt. Finished off with a necklace and a few rings. They were both so cute. I settle for what every person would do in my situation. Eny meany miney MOE! (Just pick the one u like more 😁) I just chose outfit no. (whatever number you chose.) I picked it up happily and quickly changed. I really hoped that Ava could whip something up for Leif, just then I heard a knock on my door. I saw Leif with a sleeveless blazer with his loose tie as green as his horns. His collared shirt was showing slightly. He held a cute light pink rose in his hand. I just stood there probably looking lovestruck. Another reason for Ava to bully me about. I broke the awkward silence.
"So..." I said looking down at the ground.
"Um- I got this for you." He said handing the pastel pink rose to me. I held it in my hands, I've never been given a rose before.
"Thank you so much Leif!" I said and I can't believe I did this but I hugged him. I'm not really a hugger but I hugged him. He froze in my arms. I thought I killed him for a second but I regretted it immediately. He was so warm.
"Well do you want to go now?" I said, with a sakura pink glow to my face.
"Sure." I didn't notice this before but I grabbed his hand. I dragged him up endless flights of stairs unroll we reached the roof. The sky was a beautiful blue, orange and pink craze. The clouds looked like a soft lilac but deep purple in areas. The buildings were black silhouettes looming over the park. Me and Leif sat down on the red and white checkered pattern blanket, generously laid out by Ava. I leaned on Leif's shoulder and we both watched the sun slowly set in the horizon. I smile to myself, curled up in a ball next to Leif. During the whole date Leif was trying to make a conversation but kept stuttering and suddenly stopped at points.
"So Y/n-n!" I heard he say after gulping in nervously. 
"Yeah?" I said questioningly, I was worried about Leif since he was never usually like this. I looked up to see his head hung low. I slowly patted his back.
"It's Ok, Leif, You can tell me anything." I felt him ease up and he slowly took a deep breath.
"Hey Y/n." He said more confidently.
"Yeah." I answer as Leif turns to me.
"Have you ever had a boyfriend before." He said with a sincere look in his eye.
"Just one why?" I say continuing to look at the sunset. I feel a hand on my chin.
"Well I thought that you would like me if-" Then he mumbled the rest of his sentence. Even though he was right next to me I couldn't hear a word he said.
"Sorry, Leif can you speak up a bit?" He took another deep breath.
"IthoughtthatIwasn'tgoodenoughforyousoIwasreallyworriedthatyouwouldletmegoandleavemeand-" Before he could say another word our lips smashed into each other's I felt his smile as we kissed sweetly. When we finally pulled away, I laughed at his little confession.
"Why would you think that you weren't good enough for me, silly. Your one of the sweetest, kindest and the funniest guy, I have ever met. Nothing will change that." I said looking at him with stars in my eyes.
"Even if I'm not human?" He asked. I gave him a knowing smile.
"Even if your not human." 
We sat and watched the stars above us, glistening and glowing radiantly. We were both eating strawberry cake. I looked over to Leif and shuffled over to wipe some cream off his face. 
"Hey- What are you doing?" He said as I rubbed of the cream and licked it off my finger. 
"You snooze you lose!" I said sticking my tongue out. He just laughed at me with small dimples dented on the sides of his mouth.
"Sometimes I wonder, how are you so cute but so into bloodshed?" His smile suddenly faded into a frown.
"No no no, I didn't mean it like that. Are you ok?" I hug him tightly and rub his back reassuring. He just nodded with small tears streaming down.
'"It's ok, Y/n it's not you." I look over to him my eyes slowly watering.
"No tell me what's wrong?"
"..."
"Let's just enjoy the stars, Y/n. I'm fine." He said wiping his tears away. I didn't push it.
"Ok Leif. Let's do that."
