"Ohhhkay then! So...what are you doing around here? You just... walking around and waking test subjects up..? " You say enthusiastically trying to change the subject

"Heh.... Yeah pretty much! You are lucky I got to you..." He starts to cheer up

" I haven't gotten a test subject in 2 years! And as you can imagine the facility has gone to ruin... I don't know what you noticed but things in this place seem pretty bad! Especially in the living quarters! ...you will just have to see for yourself! Don't worry! I will show you later!" He smiles and continues walking

"Soooo...are you gonna test..?" You say confused. After all this is the first time you have been woken up and haven't been tested.

"Heh... Don't sweat it! I'm not like the others! I won't kill you...or try to at least.... But I will warn you... These tests are no child's play! They may seem like a walk in the park but.... They are quite... Dangerous.... They are also designed to challenge your abilities! If you don't mind me asking... Are you any good with puzzles?" he asked genuinely slightly smiling.

"I mean...yea! I-I think!" *You look down and then back up at Evratt

"So Mr Ratty tell me more about this place and you!"

"Well as for the place... It was once a thriving facility! But after the....accidents happened... I was the only one left behind.... When it comes to me I was created 23 years ago with the goal of helping the humans complete testing and experiments! But as the years went by I felt like a...maid... So about 10 years ago I started to scheme! I needed to leave! I needed freedom! And that brings you here! I managed to manipulate the door control and now you are free to go... If you so choose so..." You stop him in the middle of his sentence

"As in "free to go" you mean I still have to do like 25 tests and defeat glados right..?" you laugh a bit

"... yeah unfortunately... But there is no need to worry about that.... Just focus on the tests! And remember to keep my advice in the back of your head! Don't trust anyone! Not the tests..not the scientists....not HER..And most definitely not GLaDOS..." He says as his tone gets more serious

"Oh...that's cool and all but I'm still a bit...I dunno.. suspicious of you...afterall I believe last time some other "helping kind robot" that came to save me that said they were "safe to trust" almost exploded this place... *Cough cough* Wheatley.."

"... You know...you know Wheatley?..." His tone gets happier and his face turns slightly blue...is he... Blushing?!?

" He was my best friend.... Well as much as an AI can have as a friend....but he did go.... Crazy... I'm pretty sure his code started to... Degrade over time... He was no where as bad as GLaDOS but still not in his right mind... But I will promise you on my CPU that I will not explode this facility at the least. You can hold me to that promise!" He smiles again as your suspicion fades away and sadness starts to fade in

"...I mean he promised to help me get out but instead he took control of GLaDOS's body and made me test..."

"Oh....oh dear... I can't describe how sorry I am... And don't feel ashamed if you never trusted me... Or any other robot after that... What he did to you should be punished with his core being ripped apart.... I... I can't imagine what it was like to be in your shoes... I...can't...just..I am sorry..." His blush goes away and he has a look of mad yet guilt on his face

"Oh..thanks" you say as you give him a slight smile then realizing that you made him feel bad "B-BUT H-HEY HES IN SPACE NOW SO I BELIEVE H-HES PUNISHED ENOUGH!!"

"... Hm.... Yeah I guess he is... But please still... Don't trust everything you see... Including me...I am AI after all..... And AI are known for... Lying... But I promise you I am different! and you can always trust me...but only as much as you can truly trust any AI...." He starts to slightly smile

"so..." You change the subject again

"UHH SO LIKE...WERE YOU TWO LIKE...BEST FRIENDS OR...MORE..?" you smirk CAUSE LIKE YOU SAID YOU TWO WERE AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET AND I-" he cuts you off

"Oh...uhm.... Well uh... Let's just say... As close as you would think two machines can get... eye gets a little dim and the rest of my body turns a darker shade of blue I-... You would be right....." he says as an awkward silence fills the room

"Oh... So I was right..?" A cheeky smile spreads across your face as he looks down flustered

"HAHA I WAS RIGHT YES!" As you say that Evratt starts gets super flustered.

He sighs "But I kinda wish the situation was a little better...." He says looking down at the floor still

"If the both of us.... Heh- er- well... If only his corruption didn't affect him...you know I really miss him.... He was truly the love of a robots life... It's a shame he had to go...I wish I could talk to him again.... If only he was here...." you look at him feeling horrible about his situation.

"...hey man... I-its ok" you say smile fading into a frown

"I-it was for the best... Trust me... he was.. fairly insane" you say showing a small smile
