He sighs "But I kinda wish the situation was a little better...." He says looking down at the floor still

"If the both of us.... Heh- er- well... If only his corruption didn't affect him...you know I really miss him.... He was truly the love of a robots life... It's a shame he had to go...I wish I could talk to him again.... If only he was here...." you look at him feeling horrible about his situation.

"...hey man... I-its ok" you say smile fading into a frown

"I-it was for the best... Trust me... he was.. fairly insane" you say showing a small smile

END OF FLASHBACK

he looks up from the floor to you and responds " You are right... That's the way of things sometimes... You win some and you lose some... But.... There comes a point where the mind breaks... And well... That's what happened to him.... He was so scared... He was...well, alone! I should have been there for him.... If only I knew..."

"H-hey man...it's ok! I-i'm sure he knew...A-AND STILL KNOWS! that you love him truly..." you say in an attempt to comfort him patting his back

"You... You really think so?.... It's..... It's just hard you know.... He was like.. my one and only love and I never will get him back you know?.... I just miss....his laugh....his smile... He was....he was an amazing AI he truly was..." he says as you let go of his back 

"I think so too! And I bet you he misses you a lot!" you smile

he smiles faintly ".... Thank you... I suppose I was just too lost in my own emotions to remember heh...but you saying that, I dunno it just... Feels nice to even talk to someone after years of isolation and thinking I am the only one who survived!" he says sounding relieved 

"It feels nice to have a someone to talk to..." he gives a small smile on his glowing blue face

he carries on with is tangent "a-and i know its un heathy to talk about him so much but just this once feels kind of... Well the word great doesn't describe it! Just hearing him talk....it's beautiful... in fact It's amazing! I was so desperate.... I..." it goes quiet for a few seconds

"W-well on a brighter note! What kind of person are you?" he asks curiously "i've been babbling for soo long i think its your turn now!" he giggles changing the subject. 

you giggle back "i-i'm so sorry but i'm not sure what that means!" 

"I mean.... I guess your right it's kind of a vague question" he laughs

 "Um how about something else then! lets see.." his face goes blank other then some words saying "[SEARCHING DATABASE]"

 suddenly he comes back "What's your favorite food! That's a good one eh?" he raises his eyebrows trying to be funny

"Cake maybe..? I don't really remember seeing any other normal food but cake lately!  Its really odd I know.." you laugh

"but that's the only food I can remember!"

"No no.... I completely understand! cake is good! There are so many flavors out there! My favorite is strawberry! And when it comes to human food... I like potatoes! They are quite tasty!"

you stop and remember something but try to play it off like a joke " Oh...! Funny you say that because guess who became a potat-"  you stop yourself before saying the rest knowing that he would probably want to know why if you truly told him making him look at you confused

"What are you trying to say? w-were you were saying you became a potato...? What does that mean? Are you trying to say you got turned into one?" he clearly did not understand making you laugh

"no not me silly! GLaDOS!" you say as he gives an oh yea face

"Oh of course how could I forget.... Heh.... Well she was always quite... Angry... at everyone.. it was a bit scary..  So  I guess it does makes sense! But still! Nobody nor robot should go out that way!" he says giving a pitiful face

"I mean.. luckily she did'nt die but.. almost haha! birds can be brutal!"

"Heh.... I suppose that can be a fate worse than death isn't it?" he laughs and you notice something on his hand.. is that.. a scratched out apeture labs logo?!? you look up at him in confusion 

"did.. did you do this?!" he looks at you with a slightly scared face and hides it behind him

"Oh.... Heh... Yeah... I did do that.... The logo made me a little uneasy... It just kind of brought back bad memories... I'm sorry" he says looking down at the floor

he suddenly give a remembering face and brings up an idea " So... Your human right?! Interesting.. I have never actually met a real human before that willing to talk to me, let alone be my friend! It's amazing! I have so many questions to ask but I just don't know where to start!" he looks exited 

"Hmmm... Well I basically have just tested my whole life! I do'nt remember much but this place! My parents just abandoned me here when i was little and well.. here I am! I do'nt know much besides this place! its my home I guess.. not to mention that ive killed G- never mind aha.."

"now listen pal.. they dont call us "Smartware" for no reason aha! Im prettu sure i know who you have killed twice pal.. So I'm assuming she was a terrible person then? I understand why you dislike her so much.... Heh... If I was there I would probably do the same.. but there is just one thing that sticks out with you.. a-and its not really all just you...its all humans.. It just... It just.... It just makes me so angry! Why is it that most humans don't know the harm they do...! The harm they cause... It just makes me so MAD!" his voice starts to raise at the end as he trys to contain his anger

you step back, not trying to make him feel angrier  "h-hey man are you ok..? You sound...mad" you sound scared, terrified even..

" I'm sorry...."  you see him turn his face into a calmer one

 "I'm just a little....mad... Mad at myself... Mad at the humans.... The scientists the robots the cores.... Just... Mad at everyone and everything... It's fine though.... I just need to calm down is all..." 

you take another step back not trying to get hurt if he starts having a fit "im..im so sorry you have to go with that"
