They've broken in. One punched his hand through the glass and opened the door but some kid slammed a hardcover textbook on his hand and stopped trying to get in. At least, that's what we thought. He roundhouse kicked the door open like he was in some sort of 80s karate movie. The group stampedes in with guns and ski masks firing at us. I can't move, I'm shaking. Why is this happening to me? Before I know it, all the kids have scattered and I'm alone shaking by the wall. Some guy grabs my arm and pulls me into a corner but before I can thank him he drops dead. I scream. I dart under a table, shocking myself because I didn't think I could move. I was so scared. That's when we heard the sirens. Thank god. I exhale in relief, but it's only temporary. One of the shooters leans under the table and sees me. Shit, shit, shit. What do I do?
"Hello, there little lady," He says and puts the gun barrel in my face. This is where it ends. I don't even try to run. I just close my eyes and pray for it to be over. The bullet is through my brain before I even process the shot. Everything goes black. And then white. My life didn't flash before my eyes, as they say, I simply told my family I loved them in my head. The warm light took over me and it was all over.
