I have considered many times
The idiocy of a clock
While down here, alone and cold,
Covered in a forgotten blanket of cobweb and dirt.

I have such an abundance of time,
Why should I ever long to track it?
What could I possibly gain
In dizzying myself with the loops that spin Into the eternities, the ticking so deafening Against the silence?

Such meaninglessness
I wish I had come to acknowledge in life.
