Part 5, not friends?

'Y/n! Y/n! Y/n! where are you! i wanna play!" luffy calls you, after you managed to run away from him yet again, "why does she always run away from me? i thought we were friends" luffy complains to himself under his breath.

Luffy had found your last hiding spot so you started hiding on the roof instead, of course ace knew about your hiding spot but never told luffy, which in turn upset luffy, sabo didnt know how you managed to get up there but didn't really mind, he also didn't tell luffy, luckily for you luffy didn't find your hiding spot.

"fine if you don't want to be my friend, then i will!- um i will- ugh i don't know what i'll do!" luffy yelled as he ran around outside trying to find you again.

a few more days passed, and today you were doing laundry outside when luffy ran around the corner and stopped in front of you abruptly, but something was off he didn't say anything, he just walked over and started helping with the laundry, this had confused you, luffy had never willingly chose to do chores, you didn't run this time, luffy opened his mouth to speak but ended up saying nothing and just going back to work, a minute or so later "hey...Y/n? why don't you want to be my friend?" he finally managed to say.

"your not gonna talk are you?" he asked his voice clearly filled with sadness.

"i really want to be your friend, so why don't you want to be my friend?" he asked again, he looked up at you this time, but was surprised to see you looking at him with your mouth open trying to say something, but in the end you couldn't and just ran off.

for weeks now you haven't been able to say much at all, and hadn't made an effort to try, but today you wanted to speak, you wanted to tell him you wanted to be friends, the only reason you ever ran was because you were scared.

ace noticed you and luffy just a moment ago, and realized you were struggling to speak, so he followed you up to the roof, "hey... Y/n" ace said once he had got to you, you hadn't noticed he followed you until he spoke.

you turned your head to look at him, then turned your head to the side in a questioning manner, "i was just wondering can you speak?" he questioned, you went wide eyed then opened your mouth to say yes but couldn't you were to tense, so you nodded your head no, he had figured you could barely say a few words, though he didn't know why, "i figured, so.. you do want to be friends with luffy right? and no running away just nod your head" he questioned you once more.

you slowly nodded yes, you were very stressed at the moment, "i thought so, how about i help you?" he suggested, you were confused as to what he meant "i mean i'll help you talk to luffy, is that okay with you?" he further explained, you nodded yes, "good okay we have a lot of work to do" he smiled.

that's a lot more words, alright i hope it was not to boring.
