Special chapter. 4th of july

really quick, i wanted to say this is when they are dating, y'know in the future

"hurry up y/n!" luffy yelled "i heard there was gonna be awesome food!" his eyes had stars in them

"i'm coming! just a minute!"

"gez, he really doesnt know how to wait does he" nami said while she passed some money to me "here you go, theres enough for you both to get snacks and play some games, have fun"

"thanks nami" i waved bye to her, then ran to catch up with luffy

the straw hats invited me to a 4th of july festival

nami said it would be a good idea to go in groups of two, so of course luffy said him and i would go together

"ok luffy what should we do first?" i asked while i tried to catch my breath

"food! theres a cotten candy booth over there! oh! and BBQ over there! oh man there is so much we have to try!" luffy beamed with joy as he ran back and forth between booths

"oh luffy! we should try that!" i pointed at a pie booth

his eyes grew twice the normal size, he looked like he teleported, thats how fast he got over there

i ran over, i looked at the pie then to luffy, who was looking at me with pleading eyes, and drooling

i quickly payed for a whole pie for luffy

before i could even hand it to him he devoured it faster then i could blink

"thanks y/n!" he smiled bright

i had a surprised face, but it turned to a smile "y-yeah no problem"

we played some rigged games for a while, then it was time for the best part of the festival

luffy grabbed my hand and we ran to find a nice spot to watch the fireworks

we found a small hill to sit on, there was other people down the hill below us

i watched the kids below us chase each other with sparklers

i didnt notice but luffy was looking at me, with a small smile

*BOOM!!* a large purple, blue and pink firework went off

"wow" luffy said

"that one was pretty dont you think?" i asked

"yeah"

we watched more fireworks go off for awhile

when i wasnt paying attention, luffy kissed my cheek then ran a little ways away laughing

i gasped "how dare you!" i playfully shouted

i chased after him, both of us laughing, i almost caught him a few times

he slipped, but caught himself, then i jumped on his back knocking him over

"i finally caught you!" i kissed his cheek

we both were in a fit of giggles and snickers

when we calmed down we just stayed on the grass watching the rest of the fireworks

when the fireworks were done we ended the night by grabbing some food, before heading back to the ship
