part 20. the marines

Sup guys, I recently had a comment ask about whether or not I would make a chapter about the war at marine ford

And I did tell them this already but, Its still being planned out, so yes I do plan to make some chapters on it

I do plan to have it come out around chapter 30, I hope you guys dont mind waiting 😊

I sprinted towards the beach of my home island

I hit the beach, leaving a hole in the sand

I fixed my hair with one hand, and let out a sigh

The sun is setting

I started walking towards the main streets of town

I approached a small cafe, its a night cafe, it's only open from dusk to dawn, and lucky for me I arrived two minutes after it opened

*ding* the front door

"Welcome to Nightwing cafe" a waitress said before looking over to me

"Oh my gosh! Y/n your back from your trip already huh?" She walked over to me with a smile

I smiled "yup, you should stop by my shop after the new stuff has arrived"

"I will! I'm excited to sed what you got!" She pulled out a menu " anyways I'm assuming you want the window seat as usual?" She asked while walking

"Yes please" I followed her

I sat down and ordered my usual

The window seat has a great view of the ocean and the citys port

It's been a very quiet day, so I assumed it would stay that way

That was until I saw marines docking at the port

Almost every marine and pirate knows that this is a neutral island, but some dont care, and try to force the residents under they're Control

These marines are some of them, they come by every once and awhile, and try to take control

I've stopped them every time, ever since I moved here

I sigh, I stood up, and walked over to the counter to pay before setting out to stop these marines

The waitress wished me luck

Everybody from the nearby homes had opened their windows and came outside to watch me deal with them yet again

"Why are you even still trying? You should know that it's against the law to place a navi base on this island" I asked

"This island needs marine protection, You people will not survive with out us" the marine captain spoke with a cocky tone, a smirk on his face, he was twirling his mustache

I had my hands in my pockets, already tired of these damn marines

"Right sure" I pulled my hands out of my pockets "and we would be sooo much better having incompetent fools like you watching over us" I talked in a sweet voice

He had a tick mark on his forehead, "could you maybe just leave, we all are tired, and I dont want to have to kick your ass this late at night"  I sighed

His face started to look like it would explode, smoke was coming out of his ears

What a sorry excuse for a marine

"We aren't leaving until this island is ours!" He shouted, he stomped his feet on the ground like a child

The people of the city looked at him with disgust

I glared at him, he seemed a little overwhelmed with the stares and glares he received

He backed up a step "screw you all! Your just a bunch of lousy fools! This island will never survive without marines!"

A little girl walked up to him, he looked down at her, she smiled

She pulled up her hand, closed it into a fist, then punched where the sun dont shine

The marine fell over in pain

The little girl came over to me "did I do good miss y/n?" She asked with a bright smile on her face

"Yes you did, good job" I smiled, i gave her some head pats

She ran off giggling, the marines left after that

And I'm sure they wont come back for awhile

I'm still gonna be pretty busy, but I found some extra time, and thought I should make a chapter
