Chapter 25 - Dad

When the interview were over, that's when everybody finally snap out of it and began reaching for their phones, even Mew and Gulf's family...calling the both of them.

Mew actually dodged the question with the reason, "I'm driving, can't talk right now, I'll call back when I arrive home" and his friends and his family replied along the lines of, "Fine, but you're not off the hook yet!"

He just chuckled as he shook his head, wondering how Gulf's handling the questions...

Well Gulf isn't really that stressed about answering the questions since Gun is still processing the information so he went to his room, giving the other it's alone time, and took a shower. And when he stepped out of his bathroom, as if on cue, his parents called...well his Dad but when he answered the video call, his Mom was right there too.

"Hi" he smiled after he answered the call, obviously dressed properly, "Kanawut Traipipattanapong" at his father's tone, Gulf blinked in uneasiness, there's just something about parents saying the full name of their child that could strike the entire nervous system in them.

"Dad..." he said, smiling nervously, "Fiancé?" his dad asked, and immediately Gulf fixed his seat, "Ahh that hehe" Gulf subtly gulped, he have no clue on what his dad is currently thinking at that moment.

He can see his mom smiling but his dad, not really.

"Are you sure about this?" his dad asked, and he took a deep breath and smiled when he saw the genuine worry in his father's eyes, his dad worries about him even though he can take care of himself, and Gulf understand that. And he can't help but feel relieved.

Because he saw how his dad listens to Anthony whenver he's with Gulf during his check up, he always make sure that Gulf is comfortable with every decision that they make, specially regarding his body, Alex never said it out loud because it may offend Gulf, but he treats his son just the same on how he treats his daughter.

Alex is honest to himself, he still doesn't know what Nattarika wants from time to time, he will never have the answer to Nattarika's every problem, because he doesn't understand what she's going through, specially every month. But he tries, and that's what matters, and Nattarika appreciates it.

Though when they found out about Gulf, that throws him out of the loop. He barely even understand Nattarika, so how could he help his son with female attributes? So as much as possible, he's more protective and observant to his children, so any sign of anxiousness or if they're feeling uncomfortabe about something, he would know that instant and talk to them immediately, so he could help them in any way he can.

"I am" Gulf said and he nodded, because his views towards Mew did not change, he's still the one that makes Alex feel assured that his Gulf will spend his life with full of love, laughter, and content.

"You already told him right?" his dad asked and Gulf nodded, "Yeah, and even then he still asked to marry me" Gulf smiled softly, "Dad I told him that we could either lose one or both, hell he could even lose the three of us and yet he still asked me, why?" he added chuckling bitterly.

And because Gulf grew up with love overflowing from their father, feeling it from someone else feels surreal, like a dream. Because he never knew or even imagined that someone will love him just as much as, more than even, his father.

"He loves you that's why" Alex said fondly, and Gulf smiled, "He alway tells me that he does".

"Do you?" his mom asked, "Do I what?" Gulf asked back, "Do you love him?" Mae asked and Gulf felt heat coming up from his neck to his ears and face, "Of course! That's a weird question" he answered without hesitation making his mom laugh, and that's when he realized that she was teasing him, "Mom!" he whined and his parents laugh.
