When I got to the hospital with Jace one of my colleagues, I asked for Mrs Robin's room but I wasn't given, I had to explain to the nurses that I am an investigator and that I needed to talk to Mrs Robin.
"She'll soon get discharged" one of the nurses said "she's been here for two days and her wounds have began to heal"
"Were they serious injuries?" I asked
"Not really, her case wasn't that severe" the other nurse replied "she had a shot fired to her leg"
"Okay thank you" Jace replied
After a while, I was given the room number and we went right away.
On getting to the room, I saw Mrs Robin, she looked better
"Good morning, Mrs Robin" I said as we walked
"Oh good morning, and who may you be?" She asked
"My name is detective Ciara Robertson, I'm in charge of the case of your husband's murder and the attempted murder placed on your life" I replied
"And this is my colleague, Jace Ross"
I said pointing towards Jace "he's going to be helping me on this case"
"Okay so what exactly am I of use for in this case" she said
"Well since you are the only surviving witness, we'll like to ask you a few questions" Jace replied
"Alright" she replied
"Okay, so can you tell us what exactly happened that night" I asked
"Well" she started " I was in the living room when I heard a knock on the door, I opened the door and the person started trying to force his way in, I was able to shut the door back, but then he broke the window and got in, he began ransacking the house and when I asked him what he wanted, he started asking for Jake, that's my husband, and I told him he was in the bedroom, he began walking up the stairs but I obstructed him asking where he was going, he went back to the living room, walked towards the kitchen and came towards me with a knife" she began crying at this moment
"Calm down Mrs Robin, don't rush yourself" I said
"Okay... So he tried stabbing me with it but I escaped it using by hand as a barrier causing this mark right here" she said pointing to a line on her palm
"Do you know this man?" Jace asked after a while
"No I have never seen him in my life, but with the way he was talking to Jake, I think Jake knows him, they had a huge argument and then I heard... I heard gun... gun shots, I ran up and then the guy shot me on my leg, I fell down immediately, the guy went out and I heard him ransack the house, it seemed like he was looking for something to steal, Jake began shouting and I told him to reduce his voice but he didn't, he was making a hell of a noise and this attracted the man back upstairs and he began shooting him till he stopped making any noise and then he left" she concluded
"Can you recognize him if you see him anywhere?" I asked again
"Not really, I wasn't focusing on his face but he had short brown hair" she replied
"Okay thank you for your cooperation Mrs Robin" I said as we stood up from the chairs, if we need more information, we'll come visit you" I said walking towards the door.
She nodded and we left the room.
