"Rosie! Give me the remote!" Yelled my older brother,Josh, as I ran from him. I could hear his loud, thunderous steps behind me as I sprinted into the kitchen.

"You'll have to catch me first." I laughed as I heard something fall, immediately assuming he tripped. Josh was always the clumsy one. I didn't hear anything for a few minutes, not even a grunt or moan of pain from when he tripped. It was just utter and complete silence. Not the kind of silence when its peaceful, but the kind of silence in which something scary is about to happen.

"Josh?"I called out, quietly stepping out of the kitchen. I didn't see anything , not a soul in sight.

"Josh, where are you?" Silence was the only answer I got." This isn't funny! You know how scared I get of scary shit like this." I said, hoping I would get a response. Instead something or someone jumps out at me from behind the door leading towards that kitchen. I let out a blood curdling scream and swung my fists at the unknown person, only to hear them start laughing. Like a holding your stomach, about to die on the floor laughing kind of laugh.

"O-oh my god. Your face was hilarious and that scream!" Josh said slowly starting to recover from his little fit.

"You asshole! You scared the shit out of me!"I screeched, hitting him repetitively. He knows how I get whenever I watch a horror movie. I have nightmares for at least two weeks.

"It was just some fun,Rosie. Don't be mad."He said, I could sense the playfulness in his voice. I turned away from him,not even sparring him a glance, and started towards the living room.I wasn't mad.Its just, whenever Josh thinks I'm mad at him, he tries whatever he can to make me forgive him.

"Oh. Come on,Rose. It was all in good fun. Don't be mad."The plead in his voice was evident. It was hard not laughing at this. I mean,he's believing all this. Turning my head slightly, I looked at his face and his eyes were pleading too. This time my laughter couldn't be controlled. His face morphed into one of confusion until he started to realize something.

"You played me."He stated, his eyebrows scrunching together and his eyes narrowed.

"Yep." I said with a slight giggle and small smile.

"Uggh...This always happens!"He says aggravated, stomping to the couch and plopping down with a pouty look on his face. He always falls for it, no matter how many times this has happened. Its starting to be a little pathetic, but whatever.

"Hey. Don't be upset. You have a soft heart. That's not a bad thing though, but you need to harden it just a little bit." I said, sitting down next to him while patting his shoulder. And I meant it, except the part with it not being a bad thing having a soft heart. I mean its not, but its not exactly good either.

"Can I have the remote now?"He asked. I turned to him with an 'are you serious look', only to be met with a puppy dog face. After twenty minutes of running around, getting scared, then having a conversation, and all he can think about is a remote. Unbelievable!

"Sure."I said, tossing it at him,as I walked towards the other couch.I laid there for a few minutes just staring out the window, looking at the sky.My eyelids slowly started closing once I got comfortable.

I was almost completely asleep, when I heard it.The scream.A scream that sounded so terrified. It sounded like it came from a horror film.In fact, that's probably exactly what it was.

"Josh, turn the tv down."I complained, turning around so that I no longer was facing the tv.

"Umm...That wasn't the tv." I heard him say.

"What are you talking about?" I asked confused. Nothing else was on in the house except the tv.

"The tvs not on anything. I'm still trying to find something to watch." He explained.

"Then what was-" My sentence was cut short as another scream sounded again, along with something hitting the house. The sounds startled me so much that I had fallen off the couch. I launched up off the floor about to go towards the window, when I saw Josh already standing there. His face was drained of color and only one emotion stood out on his face. Fear.

"Josh? Josh, whats wrong?" I asked, wanting to know but at the same time afraid of knowing. I didn't get any reply.

"Dammit Josh! What do you see out there?" I cried out, out of fear and aggravation. Then I heard him whisper the one word I dreaded hearing.

"Rogues."
