SD hunger games lmao

I discovered a hunger games simulator a few days ago and it was really fun so i decided to write my own idea for how it would go down if the hunger games happened at starling academy lol

TW (trigger warning): violence, death multiple times, killing, explosives, blood, and the like. also censored swearing. i don't think it's too graphic, but please read with caution regardless!!

Students woke up and left their dorms to head to their classes, oblivious to what was about to go down in a matter of minutes. As the Star Darlings prepared themselves to leave, they receive a text message from Lady Stella.

Dear Star Darlings,

Please meet at the Star Quad for an important announcement from President Andromeda Glint.

Gemma stares at the message. "What announcement?"
"I'm not sure—" Clover answers as she steps out of her dorm. "It could be that she has a request for us?"

They do just as the message states and go over to the Star Quad. To their curiosity, many teachers are there and Vivica, Ganymede, even Ophelia are among them.

"Okay this seems weird— What is going on—" Cassie anxiously utters right as holographic barriers surround the campus, preventing them from leaving.

Outside the campus, the president herself steps on a very large podium while an audience forms to watch— citizens from the nearby Starland City, Star Prep, and students from the academy itself along with a few government officials.

"Have you heard of the hunger games?"
Gemma lifts an eyebrow. "No?"
"Well then, the hunger games are a contest that occurs on Wishworld. Essentially, people are put inside in an arena and have to gather supplies, build or find their own shelters, survive, and kill each other until only one remains."
"How barbaric!" Tessa decried.
All of them stare back at her in horror. "Please don't tell us that—"
"Don't worry, the hunger games is a fictional phenomenon on Wishworld that we've decided to make an experiment of here to see if it actually holds any merit as a form of resolving conflict. We'll be using a special system installed in the barriers across campus, which keeps you from truly dying. When the game ends, you'll basically respawn. Understand?"
"Absolutely not!" Tessa protests. "You are not gonna make us—"
Cassie gulps. "We're screwed."
President Andromeda Glint recites the rules. "It's everyone for themselves in the end. Don't be afraid to pull your punches as you'll all be resurrected. Also, in the center of the school is a variety of stuff that you'll probably want like food, water and weapons so get it before someone else does!"
Crowds of people that came to watch as if it's the Super Bowl surround the barriers.
"And the games will begin in 3.."

Everyone gives each other side glances.

"2..."

Astra gets on the ground, ready to sprint for her life.

"1!"

They rush to the center of Starling Academy, hurrying to get food and whatever they need to go on as long as possible. Various people push and slam into each other as they fight for resources, a few even falling to the ground.

Stumbling behind Gemma, both her and Tessa carry bundles of food and medical kits and waste no time getting out of the area. As Cassie turns invisible, Sage allies with her gets enough supplies for the both of them as they head off too.

Vega is about to grab a package stocked with vegetables and fruit, but gets trampled by Astra who gets it for herself.

"Hey! I wanted that!" Vega scowled from the ground.
Astra stuck her tongue out at her. "Too bad, should've gone quicker."
In annoyance, Vega quickly throws a rock at Astra, making her drop the box of food. Only for Lady Stella to grab it and leave in a panic.
