Akira leaned back in his desk chair, tapping the top of his pen against his chin thoughtfully as he looked through the information he has gathered thus far.
What was the most important information Akira needs to find and sort through are the names and identities of Lancer, Rider, and Saber.
Firstly, there's Lancer. He is Diarmuid of the Love Spot. Akira has done some research on his legend; his full name is Diarmuid Ua Duibhne or better known as Diarmuid O'Dyna and, of course, Diarmuid the Love Spot. He is a Demi god, the son of the God Donn, and a great warrior in one of the most famous of the Irish warrior group known as Fianna. His best friend, Fionn, is their leader. He couldn't find much about him besides his death and how he had betrayed his friend. Which all started by the Love Spot he's been 'blessed' with.
No wonder the guy sounded bitter when he spoke of it.
Apparently, Diarmuid's best friend, Fionn, was to be married again. But right before the wedding, his fiancé saw Diarmuid's love spot and 'fell in love' with him, she drugged everyone that attended the wedding and gave Diarmuid an ultimatum. Run away with her and betray his friend, or be dishonored. He chose the former.
Akira never will understand knights and how highly they regard their honor and the honor of others.
Pretty much for the rest of his life Diarmuid was on the run with Fionn's fiancé. Eventually, the two were finally pardoned, but Fionn never forgave Diarmuid, letting the knight die in a boar hunting accident.
Akira winced, that's a sad death for a knight and friend. Once again, Akira understands now why Diarmuid was so bitter when speaking of his Love Spot.
The next Servant is Rider, who quite literally announced himself as Iskandar, King of Conquerors, who is also better known as Alexander the Great.
That tidbit of information actually came as quite the surprise when Akira found it out. No wonder the guy went about everything the way he did throughout the confrontation on the docks.
Fortunately, Akira did not need to do as much digging with Iskandar as he did with Lancer, having learned much about him already in school. Most he did was go over everything to make sure he remembered everything right. Akira is a little surprised that the Alexandar the Great is as excitable and cheerful as he is. When Akira first read about him, he expected Alexandar to act cockier, cold, and calculating. But this persona of his makes a lot more sense and feels natural to who Alexandar the Great, or Iskandar the King of Conquerors really is as a person and, in general, a natural human being.
The guy still has arrogance for days though.
But even though Iskandar doesn't act the way Akira expected, he is still a calculating leader and an amazing warrior. He wouldn't have been able to almost conquer nearly the whole known world back then while he was alive otherwise.
So that finally leaves Saber, King Arthur, the King of Knights and of Britain himself.
Or... herself apparently.
So, the great King Arthur Pendragon, the one who pulled the sword from the stone, is actually a female who disguised herself as a man. Once again, there wasn't much digging Akira had to do concerning Saber, since Arthur is not really her name, but probably the male form of it, the legend of Arthur, Camelot, and the Knights of the Roundtable are, well, legendary.
Beyond so even.
Saber is a skilled master swordswoman wielding either the sword Excalibur or Caliburn. Both are important and legendary or their own right, Excalibur being gifted to King Arthur by the Lady of the Lake, and Calibur being the sword in the stone that blessed Arthur as the one true king of Britain. Fortunately for Joker, when he had dragged his dagger slowly along Saber's blade in order to prove a point, it gave him a good idea the length and width of the blade. So that's something should they ever meet in battle.
