I'm such a dumb ass. Emily can't really read and I left her a note...to read. I guess I'll call her just to make sure she saw the breakfast and my phone.

"Hello?"

"Emily, it's Alison"

"Oh hey Alison. What's up?"

"Uhmm...look I'm just gonna be honest with you, okay?"

"S-Sure"

"I was just calling because I realized that I left you a note and...uhmm"

"And I can't read, right?" She sighed.

"Em I didn't mean to-"

"I'm kidding Alison. I was able to make out the words breakfast and phone, so I'm all good," she giggled.

"Okay," I say as I'm still worried that I made her upset.

"Hey Alison, I promise I'm not upset or anything. You meant well and the bagel was good so I'm fine, really"

"Okay Em. Well, don't forget that my mom is coming over around 3 to help you"

"Ugh do I have to?" She whined.

"Not really but you should"

"Fine"

"Thanks babe you're the greatest," I joked.

"For a cop you sure do have a lot of free time to talk on the phone"

"Well I am on desk duty so..."

"Right. Can I have your iTunes password? I found this game in the App Store that looks really cool so I want to get it"

"Emily what do exactly do you see on stuff since you can't read?" I blurt out but didn't come off as rude, more like genuine curiosity.

"Uhmm I see what everybody else sees. The only difference is that I don't know what it says," she kind of laughs.

"Oh okay. I'm sorry but I was just wondering"

"Yea...well I'm actually gonna go watch tv or something. So bye," and with that she hung up. I didn't mean to make her feel uncomfortable.

Once I get off the phone with her, I just continue sorting the files that Lt. Wilson left for me on my desk. This is the most boring thing ever.

"Well look who's back"

"Hey Carl," I smiled up at him.

"So he called it off but you're still stuck on desk duty?"

"Im afraid so," I sighed.

"So how is she?"

"Who?"

"You know exactly who"

"I really don't"

"Fields"

"Oh. Im not sure how-"

"Yea you do"

"I-I took her back to where she came from"

"Oh c'mon Dilaurentis. You expect me to believe that you kicked her out once Lt. Wilson stopped the operation?" He laughed.

"Okay, she is fine. She's actually at our place resting right now"

"Our place?" He smirked.

"No, I said my place"

"Alison I don't mean to ask personal questions but...you know what? Never mind"

"No go on Carl, ask away"

"You sure?"

"Positive"
