Chapter 4

"You can follow me" I said trying to not make eye contact.

He followed me upstairs and into the room. Putting his face in front of mine, I looked to the right which was the opposite side of him, and he switched to the other side.

"Look at me" he said.

"Le- let's sit down" I said trying to move towards the room.

He grabbed my hand and tilted my head facing his. "Why aren't you looking at me?" His eye looked at mine and to my lips. His eyelashes were long and his eyes looked at me soften.

I want to kiss him.. I thought to myself and my lips slowly started moving towards his. He smiled and leaned forward and kissed me. His hand wrapped my waist, and the other slowly touched my neck.

Then someone knocked on the door breaking the tension. I cleared my throat and opened the door to see that it was Tong Yao.

"Ah- Why do you look so flushed?" She asked looking concerned and looked behind me.

"Ohhh" she said smiling and added, "Anyways, our mom wanted us to come home and visit for a day. She was hoping you could" and she leaned in, into my ears. "She was hoping you could bring Hierophant."

"Ohh- I'll see if it's possible." I then turned around and closed the door, knowing what Tong Yao was already thinking.

"So uhm. My parents want me to visit them this weekend." I said looking at him nervously.

"Have a safe trip then" he said as he lightly rubbed my cheeks.

"And uhm, they asked if you go this weekend.." I said as my voice lowered at the end.

"Oh I'd be happy to, I don't have any plans so I'd like that" he said responding to me.

"Really?" My eyes sparkled and I smiled, I was so glad he'd be able to go.

So when that day came, me and Tong Yao went, but separately of course. We pulled up to the front, and got out the car. "Here let me carry the gifts- " I said looking at him and reaching my hands over.

He moved them away, "It's fine. I don't want you to be carrying anything" he smiled and followed behind me, letting me walk up first.

It was me and Tong Yao in front, while both of them were in the back. I whispered looking at Tong Yao, "Such gentleman's" I let out a smile and rolled my eyes.

Once we got inside, we talked to our dad first. "Look at what I got" he said looking to the floor and the boxes that were infront of us.

"Tong Yao, Chong Xue!" Our mom called out to us so we walked over.

"Let us help you" both Si Cheng and Jiao Huang said from behind us.

"Thank you" our dad said.

Our mom then began scolding both of us. "Ay, did you two fall in love from the beginning? When we came to the base, he looked at you like "This thing is mine. Understood?"

"Thing?" Tong Yao said looking at our mom.

Our mom looked at us with a smile, "but I'm serious. No matter what you can always talk to me, I will always defend you guys as your mother."

"Alright we understand mom" I hugged her and smiled, she was a really supportive mother.

Tong Yao then left to go "look" at the table close to where our dad was, with Si cheng and Huang.

"Here let me wash these for you" I said as I offered my mom help.

When we finished setting up the table, we sat down and ate. Jiao Huang then handed me some dishes and feeded me.
