(trigger warning : discussions of starvation and poor body image)

dear [salem],

if you ask KM why she is your friend, she'll say because you listen, you're kind, and you're funny. i'm your friend because of that, too. treat me well and love me. i will love you back at the end of the day. i may not be the prettiest, but i have a good heart, so do you. you're one of the most amazing people i know. i'm doing exactly what i'm supposed to. you're supposed to look like this. you may not like it, but please learn to love me. don't worry about what size of pants and shirts you put over me. don't worry about the hairs on my legs. don't worry about my size. i love being your body, please take care of me and love me always.

-[juli]

(author's note : this one makes me sad, too, because i was so depressed over the way my body looked that i had to write a letter "from my body" to myself just to put into perspective that starving myself wasn't the way to go. however, i went that way anyhow. it's a sick, twisted form of irony, and i truly hate that younger me had to deal with the things i'm currently dealing with.)
