5. Meeting his friends.

(Dustin's pov)

We arrived at her hotel and just
as she was going to say good-bye I felt a rush run over my body. I was looking into her warm brown eyes, I was in love. During this time I subconsciously leaned in and kissed her. I pulled away quickly and my whole face turned red. I said bye and rushed out the door I was very embarrassed. As I walked home I thought about what had just happened. Was she upset with me? That was our first kiss after all.

I finally got home. I walked through the door and my mom asked me, "how was your date honey?".
"It was fun" I replied.
"That's great sweety," she said in a soft tone, "I'm making dinner so I'll call for u when it's ready."
"Thanks mom" I yelled while walking up the stairs.

I woke up an got dressed, today the party was meeting at Mike's. I was going to pick up Suzie and go to Mike's together. I ran down the stairs and out the door yelling good-bye to my mom. I ran to the hotel Suzie was staying in. It was pretty close to my house. I met her at the front entrance. She was gorgeous I swear I could never get tired of looking at her. I must have zoned out because I heard her say "Earth to Dustin are you in there" I snapped out of it
"Yeah sorry, shall we go" I said jokingly. She giggled and followed me.

When we got to Mike's we went to the basement and seen we were the last to arrive. "Hey your here finnaly" Mike said sarcastically.
"Glad to see you too" I shot back at him. "Anyway guys I would like you to meet Suzie!" I said and stepped aside. Suzie was shyly standing behind me. She waved I could tell she was kinda uncomfortable. So I rapped my arm around her shoulders and gave her I kind of side hug. She relaxed a bit but she was still awkward towards my friends. To be fair she had never met them before.
"So what should we do?" Lucas asked
"Maybe we can play D&D?" Will replied
"No that game is for nerds and it's boring" Max said rolling her eyes
"Well then what should we do?" Lucas asked Max
"I don't know?" Max said.
"Why don't we watch a movie?" El suggested.
"That sound fun" Mike said.
"I'm in what should we watch?" Lucas said
"Why don't we watch a horror movie like... Halloween?" Max said. We all agreed and Mike turned it on the TV.
"Suzie and I will get popcorn" I said. I helped Suzie get up and we went upstairs.

When we came back downstairs everyone was sitting down ready to start the movie. Lucas and Max were sitting next to each other on the floor max leaning on Lucas. Mike was sitting with El on the couch she had her head on his lap and her feet propped up on Will who was sitting near them. I decided to sit on the opposite side beside a chair where I gestured to Suzie that she could sit there. I held her hand and Mike started the movie.

By the end all the popcorn was gone. The only people that were scared were Will, El, and even though Lucas said he was fine I could tell he was scared. I was kinda surprised that Suzie didn't get scared. But she is a strong person so I didn't doubt her for a second. When we realised the time we decided to leave. We said our good-byes and headed out. When we got outside I turned to Suzie an said
"So was it fun?"
"Yeah your friends are very nice, but Mike is kinda how do I put it nicely"sassy"?" she said. I burst out laughing she started laughing with me we agreed he was "sassy" and started on our way to the hotel.

"Here we are" I said
"Yep" Suzie said, "so about yesterday night..."
"Im sorry..," I started, " I didn't mean to. I don't know what can over me."
She grabbed my face lightly to face her
"It's ok Dusty-bun it was actually nice"
I blushed "Really?"
"Mhm" she nodded
"In fact" she leaned in and kissed me this time. It was another quick kiss but not as short as last time. She smiled and went inside. I just stood there in aw. I smiled and left back to my house.
