I very much didn't expect this, a young looking man stumbles and faints in front of my door in the middle of the night.. in the winter storm to be exact. Wearing a ripe tshirt and blue jeans.. where did he come from.
"Mama?" I turn around, "baby? Hmm do you mind helping me?"
"Sure mama," I smile as my daughter walks closer. "Is the man ok?" Looking at the faint person that I'm holding into. "He's sick, i need you to bring me 2 blankets and a pillow please, and please mind telling your brother to light up the fire place as soon as possible,"
"On it mama!" Before running off, she held on to the salute post and ran up to her older brother. I chuckled at my daughter's doings and began to carefully bring the young man inside. As i laid him down, i took a very careful look at his face, heavy eye bags, pale face, freckles and dry lips. My my, what made him think that it was the best idea to walk in this weather.
After checking for any injuries, joshua.. my older son finally went down the stairs and went up to me. "Is he ok? Who is he? Is he dead? Is it only him?" I laughed, "Patience josh, he fainted in front of the door.. he needed a bit of treatment" he nodded and began to lighten up the fire place.
Just after joshua did his work, joy my daughter finally brought down the blankets and pillows and helped me. After It settled in, i shuu up both of my children to go back to bed and take care of him alone. The protests for a minute but eventually go anyway.
The young men were now peacefully relaxed after getting all the heat from the fire and thick blanket. I, who had a bit of a health problem myself... Not serious tho, but it's tired me so quickly that i shouldn't do much work at one time, slumbered down on the nearby couch falling asleep right after.
She should have kept an eye on the young man because she didn't know what he would do after waking up but a little bit of rest would hurt.
A soft fabric brushed on my arm as it covers my whole body from the cold, i rustled back in the blanket covering myself from the bright light coming through the window. I slowly opened my eyes as i settled it on the empty floor that used to be someone laid on it. I carefully sit up as my eyes suddenly travel to the kitchen.
The young man sits back facing me while both of my children sit in front of him, talking and laughing about something. The man was now wearing a very familiar cloth that he seems more comfortable in unlike last night.
Joshua, who finally notices his mother smiles brightly and runs up to me. "Mama!!" I smiled as joshua caressed my face with both of his small hands, his hands were so warm that i leaned into it.
"Are u ok mom, you were sleeping without a blanket last night, u should know better.." i chuckled "im sorry baby, promised i won't do it again,"
Joy who then dragged the shy young man from last night finally arrived in front of me, softly greeted her mother good morning which I answered back.
"Mama, this man from last night was so nice that he even cooks us breakfast, his name is tommy!! "
"Well, tommy.. it was so nice looking at you a bit healthy compared to last night, i hope u settled in " tommy smiles while rubbing at the back of his neck "thanks for the help last night, i was lost and happened to stumbled in front of your house, i hope i didnt disturb u last night, "
"Well, you're lucky i was downstairs when i heard a low thud outside the door, right... What did you cook tommy, I'm very hungry as u know, "

I thought this was Techno's house but it was so much better than I thought... Much better.
I was woken up by a little girl named joy who smiles while an older boy named Joshua covers a woman who i later learned from both of them, y/n. Joshua was 10 while his younger sister was 8, and of course they told me they were hungry. I offered to cook for them and they were so happy about it.
It was nothing much though, eggs, bacon and red beans. 3 of us were talking about random stuff. I then happened to learn about their mother, y/n have a health problem which she gets tired easily even just after cooking a little meal for their small family.
Joshua even told him that both of him and joy had to be there for their mother everywhere and every time. One time, y/n fainted from overworking at the farm which was lucky joshua was there and the farm happened to be near their house.
Thinking of y/n taking care of him all alone last night made him feel bad and was such a burden. He made sure to apologize after she woke up.
Joy and Joshua were playing outside while tommy again offered to clean the dishes as an apology which y/n says that it was ok.
While Tommy's cleaning the dishes, y/n was sitting on the dinning table.. looking at tommy from the back. "So.." Y/n started. "What makes u think it was the best idea to travel in the storm last night with only a tshirt and jean.."
Y/n basically saw Tommy's become tense about it and finally let out a deep sigh. Y/n knows this was going to be a long story
She didn't quite expect that, it was horrible. Getting exiled from his own country and totured everyday is very much inhuman for y/n that she almost cried.
Tommys says it was something that he deserved, but not that he expected to be exiled by his own best friend.
Tommy was so done with all the stuff he was going through and finally he faked his death and ran away. He was supposed to be at his brother's house but he thinks it's more lucky he stumbled here.
Not that y/n think much of it.. she ask him "tommy, i was wondering if you want to start living here.. i didnt mean to ask such a disrespectful question but after hearing your story.. i think its best if you start a new life here, my children even start to taking a like of you,"
Tommy stops first, then slowly dries his hand and walks up in front of me. "Can i really ...?" Y/n smile, "i was just offering, if you don't want to it's ok," "No!! I very much like to start a new life with you-" Tommy stopped his word and covered his mouth as his ears started to redden.
Y/n then laugh makes tommy even more embarrassed as he turns around and walks up to the window like nothing had happened. "Is there anything i can do that i finally live here?" Y/n smile "i was hoping if you could help me with the farm just right at the back of our house," Before y/n could even stand up, Tommy stop her.
"I can do it, how about you rest up.." "i rest up enough, there's no way I'm going to let you work alone, " "i heard your condition, *sigh* how about you just stood right beside me while I collected all the crops,"
Y/n blushed at how soft tommy spoke to her and eventually agreed.
And that's how both y/n and Tommy's life changes.
After months, both children accidentally called tommy their father or so they called 'papa', owh how happy tommy was.
Y/n then finally confessed to how she felt after Tommy's arrival. For her, tommy is just a very soft boy who helps her a lot with everything compared to what Tommys describes himself. He cooks breakfast, handles the crops and even bathes his now own daughter. Joshua and Joy were so happy how their family developed just after a random guy fainted in front of the door.
Tommy who now became a different person, more mature and soft just after meeting his new family. He never felt so alive and happy after all the wars and shits he's gone through.
Life was so perfect that Tommy didn't even want to leave the house even if he missed his old friend and family.
Stuffed passed for like 3 years already. Tommy was finally 21, y/n is 20 while joshua is 13 and joy is 11.
Tommy then planned to visit his hometown, l'manburg.
