My fist slam down on my desk in frustration as I watch my plan back fire. I was so sure that the little black girl would never protect Morbius as her mate. It seems that I miscalculated things on my end with this. It would appear that I was right in my assumption that the brother would want him dead. That one wasn't far fetched however after everything that Morbius has done.
As I watch the ungrateful bastard lean against the wall and close his eyes, I am forced to lean back in my chair. The fact that he is still bloodied and bruised due to my lackies and his brother pleases me. However, it is not enough. I needed him to make my plan work and now I have to find a way. I rub my eyes as I feel the stress of a headache coming on. You would think that after working on this plan for twenty years that I would have what I wanted by now. This is the last step but too many wrenches have been thrown into my plan.
I thought that after all my manipulating and scheming the stupid big wigs of this world that we could get what we want. Our world back from these silly creatures. The government did their bid and created several clans in their countries to have them all in one place. However, so many of the population though that they were human too. They believed that they deserved rights. They believed that they deserved to live. It made killing them all seem barbaric in the eyes of the public.
After my own experiences growing up with one, I knew that their power was too great for this world. I spent years studying different sciences and human biology so that I could finally figure out a way to solve my dilemma. I simply wanted to kill my step brother and supposed mate so that I could have my beloved Avery. I even found others who had a few creatures that they wanted to get rid of too. Ah, now college were the days.
These creatures used to think that by blending with us humans and forming relationships that they were like us. A wry chuckle leaves my lips as I look at these monsters on the screen. They can never be like us. The only thing that they want in this world is to live in it. That's exactly why it must be the one thing that we take away. However, I would prefer to have a little fun in watching them suffer as I do it. They need to suffer just as I have on the end of a stupid bond.
Lightbulb. The idea hits me so hard that I immediately sit up in my chair. My eyes squint at the screen as I watch the black girl with the other brother. If looks could kill then Morbius would be dead ten times over for the look of hatred in his brothers eyes. Now that I can use. I pick up my cell from the desk and I dial immediately.
"You" he answers. I roll my eyes at the stupid beast and then give him my orders.
"I need your ten strongest to pull a mission inside the facility. You will meet me in twenty minutes outside the cell where we placed your old comrade" A growl comes over the line as I mention their past affiliation. Now that he has been labeled a traitor, many of them hate the mention of how he once led them. "We are about to get a little pay back. Do hurry" I end the call before I get his reply. I don't need it since they do what I tell them to.
Rising from my desk I grab the one thing I need and I head toward the labs. The walk is brief as I approach the doors. I walk right into the lab without saying a thing. When I spy the cabinet of serums that I need, I stand and read the labels as I search for the one that I want. When I spy the black liquid, I grab it and a syringe. This should come in handy.
When I turn from the cabinet, one of my doctors stands there as he stares at the tube that I grabbed. I watch in rapture as his face pales and he starts to fidget with his collar. I raise an eyebrow in his direction since he has failed to move out of my way. He is costing me time right now and I only have one goal.
"Do we have a problem?" I ask as I step closer to him.
"No. No sir. Not at all. I-I just wanted to make sure you were able to find what you needed" he says with a stammer.
"Quite well actually. You may soon have another live dragon corpse to play with" I state as I step past him. A fear cheers go off around the room. As I pass near the doorway, I also grab the syringe that I will need. My feet hit the corridor fast as I make my way to the cell. As I round the corner it seems that I am right on time for the party as they all stand in front of the door. They stand at attention when they see me as they await their orders.
"Five of you are to hold the gold one back. The other five are to hold Morbius. If you fail then you will no longer be alive at the end of the day" I state and then step over to the door. I put in my code for the door and then move to the side as they enter before me. A loud roar can be heard as well as a feminine scream. The hits landed echo in the room when suddenly things go silent.
I walk into the room and a smile hits my face at what I see. Morbius now sports a newly made bruise on the side of his bald head. He has been taken down to his knees as all five men hold him. The girl stands coward in a corner of the room as she looks around the room in fright. The brother of Morbius has been thrown to the ground as my lackies hold him pinned while he practically foams at the mouth.
"Now that I have your attention, I do believe that we have business to handle. Once its done, my friends and I will leave" I state as I walk over to the center of the room. I meet the eyes of the brothers as I smirk at them. They just look so angry at the situation that all a part of me wants to do is laugh. There will be time for that later, however.
I make sure to move my attention away from them as I pull the vial from my pocket. I make a show of loading the syringe as I watch the black liquid fill it slowly. Even though I know the exact dosage for the average dragon, I decide to fill it with double since these brothers have proven unpredictable. A roar fills the air once the scent of the fluid flows through the air. Looking around the room, I can see how many of my lackies tense.
The other brother must pick up on the tension in the room as Morbius growl fills the air. I smirk at the confusion on his face as I drop the now empty vial. The first step that I take toward him is nearly a skip as he looks around the room in confusion. I stop just before him as my lackies shake him on his knees. I bring the filled syringe close to his face so that he can see the color as I lean down closer to him.
"I bet that you are wondering what treat I have for you here, huh?" I ask as he remains quiet. Unperturbed by his lack of words I tap the syringe with my middle finger as I make sure that I rid the needle of any bubble. "There here my new friend is the serum that paid for this facility. You see it does something really nasty when it gets into the system of one of you beast" I say as I laugh in his face.
"Just get on with it" He growls in my face. I have to smile at his bravado. I'm betting that he wouldn't be so cocky if he actually knew what this would do to him.
"Now I definitely will do that, but it seems that there is going to be a choice for you to make" I tell him as the men in the room chuckle. Oh, how I truly do love these games. "Now, because you do not know what is in this serum, I am going to ask you a question. You can only choose one of the two options that I give to you. If you do not make a choice, then I will let one of my lackies make the choice for you" I command him.
I watch his eyes flash as his beast tells him something. The fact that his creature would even come forward in my presence irritates me to say the least. I was going to have him choose between his brother and one of his lackies but now a different choice comes to mind. These damn things really cant let me do anything simple. This is exactly why they all just need to be irradicated. Today I will start with just one. But tomorrow they will all have to go.
Before I can ask him the question, one of the other lackies burst into the room in a huff. I make a show of raising the needle in my hand as I consider using it on him. He backs away as he eyes the syringe and raises his hands in the air. "Sorry doctor. But there is something on the television that we believe you need to see. Its bad and I do mean really bad" He states in a rush as his eyes never leave the syringe.
My attention is jerked from the imbecile as Morbius begins to laugh. The sound is so shocking that I raise and eyebrow in his direction. However, his eyes don't match his laughter. In the black of his irises the only thing that I see is a dare. What is he up to? My feet move fast as I exit the room. You would think that I would be madder to have my time interrupted. Yet the fact that I know that one of them will die today is comfort enough.
