HAWKS STRETCHED OUT his limbs once through the door.
"Hey beautiful, I'm home!" He called out, awaiting his favorite part of each day; when you'd drop everything and run over to shower him with love. Sometimes, he'd even countdown: three, five, even twenty seconds. No matter what, you always flew into his arms.
But as the seconds drew on, that never came. The house was eerily quiet, which was impossible if you were home. Fear began to bubble in his stomach, frantically checking every room in the house for your presence. Sadly, he had no luck.
Something wasn't right. In the pit of his stomach, there was that all too familiar feeling; the feeling that something was wrong.
His first instinct was to call your phone, but it went straight to voicemail.
"Hi! L/n Y/n here, sorry I wasn't able to come to the phone. Leave me a message and I'll get back to you later!"
Even if it was through the phone, your voice brought him serenity. Unfortunately, it was short-lived.
