Chapter 3

I wake up to me on my soft bed, and Evan laying on the floor, looking completely discombobulated

"Please don't eat me Mr. Duck-" Evan mumbles on the floor.

"Evan get up" I kick his side. "Mr. Duck that is no way to have a civilized conversation!" He says still asleep.

I stand outside the gates of the Lawrence estate as Evan and Regulus's families are bidding them goodbye. My parents have not made their way out quite yet.

The carriage that would soon carry us to our new home is done being loaded with our belongings. Regulus and Evan enter the carriage first. I finally see my parents exit the wide doors. They make there way towards me.

"Farewell daughter, do not disapoint us." My mother says, with her arm looped with my fathers. "Yes, mother. Farewell" I say.

I turn towards the carriage, and see Regulus hand extended for mine. I put my hand into his as he helps onto the carriage, I shut the door behind me.

I sit on one side of the carriage and both Regulus and Evan sit on one.

about ten minutes pass and no one says a word. "Well this is awkward" sings Evan.

"Since no ones gonna talk, I'll introduce everyone. Regulus, you and me, we're the fun ones, and Mel here is our serious, no-nonsense leader. Got it?"

Regulus raised an eyebrow, the corners of his lips quirking slightly. "I see."

I shot Evan a glance, a hint of amusement flickering in his eyes. "I think we'll manage just fine without your comedic talents, Evan." I say confidently.

Evan leaned back dramatically. "Ouch, that hurt, Rosie. My comedic talents are legends!"

Regulus cleared his throat, drawing their attention. "While I appreciate the banter, we have more pressing matters to discuss."

Evan shut his mouth tight. We both knew that the deed would not be done. I wouldn't stand for it. Evan and eye both make eye contact debating weather to tell him or not.

I figure it would be no good to keep it between Evan and I, and either way if he tries something its two against one
