Riley: I heard you out here, whats going on?

Me: What do you mean what am I doing? I'm practicing for when I go pro, of course.

Riley: I should have known.

He joked as I tried faking Riley out, stealing the ball from him in that small few seconds, jumping while turning and shooting it straight in with nothing by net. It was a total skill I've learned, and I was always going to be better than the others.

Me: Goal.

Toby: Wrong sport.

I laughed grabbing the ball back from him.

Toby: We should play a little game of two on two – I'll be on Piper's team and you and Connor can be on the other.

Me: I'm down – Starting now!

I spoke yelling quickly before shooting a three point shot; Toby cheered as he ran over and kissed my cheek quickly. He turned back around continuing to play the game as I looked over at Connor with my arms out to the side. We both knew what just happened. Toby had actually showed some affection for me in front of his older brothers, who judge him more than anything.

Me: Like that.

I said getting him to laugh as we continued playing. In the end, Toby and I won with a total sixty-three points compared to Riley and Connor who got a totally of nineteen points. Of course, I carried my team to the finish line, so whatever Toby says is most likely not true.

Me: I should probably head in before my curfew ends.

Connor: Someone as smart of yourself has a curfew? Don't you know a way to get around it?

Me: I do, but I've used most of them on my dad at some point in time and he knows all of my tricks.

Connor: I'm sure you'll come up with something that'll get by him without having him think that you're trying to play him.

Me: Next time, I'm blaming Riley.

Riley: Why me?

He asked defensively.

Me: I always use the "Connor's an adult" excuse, so technically speaking I'm never out past my curfew.

Riley: You're going to start using the "Riley's an adult" excuse now?

Me: You know it!

Riley: Well I suppose I can deal with that.

He laughed as I moved the ball around in my hands.

Me: All right, I'm out!

I called before turning around and beginning to walk back into my house before my dad got home.

?: Uh Piper?

Me: Yeah?

Toby: Can I talk to you?

Me: Sure –

I said before walking back over to Riley and Connor, hugging them having forgotten to do so earlier, before walking inside of my own house; I held the door open for Toby, letting him grab it, before closing my garage and tossing my ball into the toy hoop inside of my game room.

Toby: Are you okay?

Me: Perfectly fine –

Toby: Are you sure you're okay?

Me: I'm absolutely positive; why do you ask?

I asked turning around and looking at him. I scanned his face as he momentarily searched for a response.

Toby: I just didn't want you to be in a bad mood when I ask.

Me: Ask me what?

I asked with a slight laugh.

Toby: Are you busy, uh, tomorrow night maybe?

Me: I have class at four; other than that, I'm pretty free.

Toby: Could I pick you up around seven?

Me: For what?

Toby: A date.

Me: A what?
