~Toby's POV~
I stood in front of my mirror, unsure about the outfit I had chosen for my date with Piper. I thought over dressing was the answer to everything, but now that I'm staring at myself looking like a complete fool, I'm second guessing the thought.
Me: You don't think it's too dressy?
Connor: I'm sure she's even dressier than you are.
Me: Are you sure?
Connor: You never specified what she should wear, I'm sure that she's wearing some skin tight dress that -
Me: Stop talking.
Connor: I wasn't implying that I wanted -
Me: I said stop talking!
Riley: What a little player you are.
I smiled seeing that I was thinking like I was over the age of eighteen and getting to touch all over her body, although I was only seventeen and am absolutely afraid to even hug her.
I walked out of my room wearing a pair of my nice jeans, an all black dress shirt, and a pair of all black high top shoes. I walked downstairs seeing it was only ten minutes until seven. I looked around unsure about everything when I noticed my mom standing there smiling.
Mom: My baby is going on his first date without supervision.
Me: Moooom -
I whined as she pulled the old polaroid camera out of the drawer, taking a picture of me as I stood there looking overly embarrassed and half annoyed. I couldn't believe this was happening to me. She never did this to Connor or Riley; or at least I don't think she did.
Me: I'm going to be late if you keep me here.
Mom: All right - All right go!
She replied rushing me out of the house; I grabbed the house keys and my wallet off of the table on my way out. I walked down the street a few houses, looking back at my family seeing them all smiling at me while standing on the driveway. I nervously, and sweaty palmed, walked up to Piper's door and knocked on it softly. The door soon opened showing a more beautiful person than I have ever seen in my life. She wore an all black dress with a gold belt around the waist, assorted gold accented jewelry, and a pair of all black vans on her feet.
I smiled seeing her shoes.
Piper: I hope you don't mind.
Me: No - Not at all.
I replied reassuring her about not wanting to wear some sort of stiletto heels. She smiled, grabbing her black and gold purse and walking out of the house.
?: WAIT -
Someone yelled from inside of her house, seeing her almost being able to close the door and get away. I glanced at her, seeing her close her eyes hoping that whoever it was would go away.
?: I wanted to get a picture of the two of you.
Piper: Dad, I'm sure he -
Houston: I'm sure he doesn't mind.
She sighed before standing closer to me and faking a smile as did I for her dad to take a picture with his polaroid camera; Well, it was Piper's polaroid, but her dad liked using something more on his wavelength and not so high tech. He could barely use his own smart phone; He's told me it's too smart for him.
Piper: Can I go now?
Houston: All right, I'll see you when you get home.
She smiled half heartedly relieved, walking over and hugging him simply as he picked her up and spun her around some. They had a close relationship so I'm sure Houston letting Piper go was one of the hardest things for him.
