-We found him on the beach, he doesn't look like he was from Inazuma. He must have smuggled himself in. Should we execute him, boss?
-No. I'll teach him to be good, if not, I'll deal with him personally.
These were the last things Thoma heard before being knocked out.
He woke up to the scent of fragrant cedar, the kind he was very unfamiliar with. The room he was in was dark, his head hurt, and his stomach felt empty. He hadn't eaten in days. That's when he heard knocking on wood. He hadn't even had the time to stand up when a ray of light filled the room. Thoma squinted as he could make out a dark figure in a door frame. A tall, sky-blue-haired man stepped into the room. Thoma quickly noticed his deep purple eyes and the mole under his lip. All in all, he was an elegant-looking man.
-Don't worry I won't hurt you unless I have a reason to. However, treating your wounds and finding an excuse to keep you around has been quite the hassle for me. If you can't do anything for me in return, I might have to get rid of you, he said every word with a teasing smirk as if all this was just a game to him, so tell me, what exactly can you do for me? He leaned against the door frame and rested his head on his hand.
-I-I can cook and um clean? Thoma was scared and that was the first thing that came to mind. He did work as a housekeeper for a rich family back in his hometown.
-Oh? But I already have servants, what use is another, untrustworthy one?
-I don't know sir, the blond replied honestly.
-Sir? How cute. I think I'll keep you for now.
Thoma had never felt so relieved in all of his life, he thanked the Gods for this second chance.
-Is there anything I should do then? Thoma asked quietly and cautiously.
-Eager to get to work are we? Well for starters I'd like to know your name.
-I'm Thoma.
-My name is Kamisato Ayato, but you will call me "My Lord", as everyone else does, the tall man said, and no, I believe there isn't much work for you to do unless you wish to mop the floors.
Thoma would have done anything to get out of this dark room. So, he quickly agreed, and Ayato left without another word.
The next day Thoma, not knowing what else to do, mopped the floors again. That was when he met a young lady around his age with light blue hair. She had been watching Thoma clean for quite some time, so he decided to talk to her.
-Good morning! He said cheerfully. The girl looked around as if she thought Thoma was talking to someone else.
-G-Good morning, she replied after realizing she was the only other person there.
-My name is Thoma, nice to meet you, he held out a hand.
-I'm Kamisato Ayaka, she bowed leaving Thoma a little confused, I've never seen you around here. Are you new? You don't look like you're from Inazuma.
-Yeah, you could say I'm working to pay off a debt, I got here a few days ago and no, I'm not Inazuma, I'm from Mondstadt. Ayaka's eyes seemed to light up at his last words.
-You're from Mondstadt? Does that mean you could cook some dishes from Mondstadt?
-Um yes but why?
-I've always wanted to learn foreign dishes. Do you think you could teach me? She asked expectantly.
-Sure but I have to make sure we have all the ingredients, and I don't know where the kitchen is.
- That's all right we can get things from the market if we don't have enough. Come, the kitchen is this way.
