Thoma woke up in his bedroom. He could hardly remember what had happened the previous day. Aside from the various lewd noises and the splashes of hot water Thoma couldn't recall much.

- "I guess Ayato was right about making me forgetful." He sighed.

Once he had gotten dressed he started doing his usual duties around the estate. Ayato was gone for another important meeting. Thoma wouldn't be surprised if the man was behind on all his work considering how much they have been fooling around recently. The thought made him feel guilty.

Thoma entered the kitchen, he had planned on making rice cake soup for lunch but they didn't have any sausages or tofu for that matter. So, he went to Inazuma city in hopes of finding what he needed. It didn't take him long to find what he needed. He paid for the various ingredients he needed and made his way back to the estate. There was nothing unusual about his trip at all. Aside from the fact he felt like he was being watched all through Chinju forest.

The next two days went by similarly, he cooked, cleaned, went on errands, and from time to time stopped to feed stray dogs. The only thing that bothered Thoma was that Ayato still hadn't returned. Although this was relatively normal, he still felt quite lonely. Ayaka was training with her sword in the backyard of the estate. Thoma decided it was best to not disturb her. He didn't have any chores left so he told his colleague, Aoi, that he would be going for a walk to Ritou. She encouraged him to take some time for himself so he wouldn't end up as overworked as the Yashiro commissioner. Thoma could only chuckle at the comment. As he made his way to Ritou he felt like he was being watched again. He had his weapon on him, so he felt a little more at ease. Once he reached the small island, he went straight for the restaurant he and Albert had dined in once hoping to find some company there. And company he did find, the young man with silver hair was sitting at a table in the corner. The man waved at Thoma to come and join him.

- "Thoma! Long time no see. How have you been?"

- "Well, I was a little lonely, so I was hoping to find someone to talk to here." He smiled at his friend, "What about you?"

- "Never been better, I just got promised a lot of money for a very simple job."

- "I see. If you don't mind me asking, what is this job?" Thoma was genuinely curious about what could make Albert so happy.

- "I'll show you sometime, but how about I treat you to a drink first."

- "You know I don't hold my liquor well..." Thoma smiled awkwardly.

- "Oh, don't worry I'll keep an eye on you."

The man ordered a bottle of Sake. Thoma couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched, he had a bad feeling but simply brushed it off. His friend poured him a glass of liquor as soon as it arrived.

- "So, tell me Thoma, does the head of the Kamisato clan really just let you take time off like this?" Albert asked casually. The blond wanted to tell him that Ayato was away for work but decided that disclosing such information about him was never a good idea.

- "Well, I've finished all my tasks for today so it's alright."

- "Interesting..." He said with a grim expression which was quickly replaced by his usual smile. Thoma was growing more uncomfortable by the second, but he couldn't explain why. So he grabbed the cup of Sake and downed the drink in one gulp. The liquid burned his throat, he couldn't help but cough.

- "I think we should take a walk outside." Thoma said, his head beginning to spin. He vaguely noticed the smirk on Albert's pale face.

- "Alright, I can show you my new job on the way."

Albert paid for the drink before helping Thoma out of the restaurant. He started leading him toward Narukami Island. Thoma assumed they were headed to Araumi, which was strange, what kind of business could he have there? But that wasn't important at the moment. They entered a small shack on the beach and climbed beneath a trap door. Thoma was drunk at this point and his vision was blurry. He suddenly felt a sharp pain in the back of his head. And with that, he knew he had made a grave mistake in following Albert
