3rd person POV, Sophie

It was three in the morning at Havenfield, and Sophie couldn't sleep. She couldn't take her mind off Keefe. He was in the healing center; they had recently defeated the Neverseen, and his injuries were the worst.

He was the last of them all in there, and nobody but Elwin were allowed inside. She decided to try to connect their minds, even though he was probably asleep.

'Hey Foster! Miss me?' Came Keefe's voice in her head.

'Keefe!' She exclaimed. 'Did Elwin say when you can have visitors yet?' She asked, hopefully.

'That excited to see me?' She could almost feel him smirking. 'Foster, I can feel you blushing from here. Can't resist me, can you? Is it the hair? Yeah it's definitely the hair.'

Sophie blushed even harder.

'What do you mean? I'm not blushing!' She quickly said.

'Mm-hmm?' Keefe questioned. 'Anyways, what else did you want to talk about, other than how handsome I am?'

Sophie blushed, but couldn't help thinking, well, he is pretty cute... and his hair- she didn't get to finish thinking that before Keefe shouted,

'DID YOU JUST SAY I'M CUTE!!!!!' Sophie face-palmed. She had totally forgotten that Keefe was still in her mind. She was blushing like crazy!

'I, umm, that's not what I meant...' This was soooo embarrassing! 'It's OK, Foster. I understand. So. Back to the conversation. Why are you awake already?'

'I was just going to ask you that.' Sophie replied.

'I couldn't sleep, so I decided to reach my mind out to you,' she explained. 'Let's hear your excuse now.'

'Well, Elwin tried to give me a sedative to help me sleep, but I faked drinking it, soooo... I guess it would have helped more than I realized.' he said. 'Well, now that we're both awake, we might as well catch up a bit!' Keefe decided.

'Ok, how's it going with Elwin?' Sophie asked. 'Oh, and Keefe! You never answered my question! Did Elwin say when you can have visitors yet?' she repeated.

'I... I don't know yet, but I hope that it'll be soon!'

He tried his best to keep it cool, but Sophie could tell he hesitated. 'Keefe, remember, you can trust me with things like that. I won't tell anyone if you don't want me to!'

'I'm fine, Foster. Don't worry about me.'

3rd person POV, Keefe

Keefe lay in one of the beds reserved for them. They're at the healing center a lot, so Elwin had reserved beds for them.

Their mental conversation was over, and he was back to being bored. He missed her so much. He had to tell her soon... But what if she doesn't like me that way? He thought. I can't tell her. I have to wait for the right time.'

3rd person POV, Sophie and Biana

Sophie couldn't wait for Keefe to come back from the healing center. He was there for a while, and had literally almost died.

Biana was in the other room, and peeked her head in to check on Sophie. She could clearly tell she was thinking about something... or someone. Biana vanished.

"So, what's going on between you two?" Sophie jumped back in surprise. Biana was behind her, waiting for an answer.

"W- what do you mean?" Sophie stuttered. Biana giggled.
