Katie's pov

I chuck my long brown hair up in a messy bun and throw on my favourite marvels track pants with my black and white crop to witch has my favourite number 8 on the front, I head down stairs to my parents who are sitting on the couch, I slump down on the chair,

"What do you want for your birthday honey" mum asks
My birthdays in two days and mum and dad aren't going to be here for it, dad has to travel for work so mum goes with him,
"I know what I want but I would never get it" I moan pulling out my phone

"We told you before we can't kidnap 5 seconds of summer" she replies

"I didn't say kidnap them but if you want to is be cool with that" I reply

"Not going to happen" mum says
I fake pout
"I'm sorry we won't be here for your birthday darling" dad speaks up

"Dad it's fine it's just a birthday" I reply

"Are you tweeting those poor boys again" mum asks
"Maybe" I reply
"You weird child" she jokes
"You know it, I'm going to bed night" I reply
"Night katie" mum and dad say together
I walk to my room and flop on my bed,
I crawl under the covers and drift off....

I wake the next day to the smell of pancakes I run out to the kitchen to find mum plating them up,
I sit and start eating,
"What time are you leaving"i ask
"Half an hour or so" mum replies
"Do I get a present before you go" I ask
"No you get your present tomorrow" she replies
"But you not here" I whine
"no but I will be" I hear a voice say and I turn around
"Ben" I scream and run to him nearly knocking him over
"I'm missed you" he says spinning me around,
"How long are you back" I ask as he puts me down
"Just today and half of tomorrow, couldn't miss the sisters birthday" he replies
"Mum why didn't you tell me" I shout
"Because it's one if your surprises"she replies
I sit down and resume eating, I can't believe Ben is here he's been gone for too long,
"So how's the army" I ask
"It's fine"he replies
"Ok my babies me and your father are leaving now" mum says hugging us both
"Bye mum, dad" I reply
"It was nice to see you Ben" dad says shaking his hand
"Bye mum dad love you" Ben replies
Dad hug me then leaves,
Me and Ben just sit there catching up,
"What time do you leave tommorow"i ask
"Around 4pm so your stuck with me until then" he replies
"Atleast I have someone here for my birthday" I say
"What happen to your boyfriend and best friend" he asks
I think about it and tears prick in my eyes, it was over a year ago and in still not over it,
"My best friend stole my boyfriend" I reply getting up and moving to the couch, Ben follows
"I'm sorry Katie I didn't know" he says sitting next to me
"It's ok it happened over a year ago, but I thought I love him you know" I reply a tear leaving my eye,
"Hey don't cry their not worth your tears" he say hugging me
"That what I used to tell myself every night I cried my self to sleep" I reply
"If I was here I would of smash that guy" he replies
I giggle
"It's good having you back even if it is just until tomorrow" I say
"We've been talking for hours,its good to be back " he replies
"I'm hungry" I say
"Pizza and movies" he asks
"Yes like old times" I mumble
"I'll order, you pick the movie" he says getting up
I put the movie the avengers in,
And snuggle in to the couch,
All night we stayed there eating pizza and watching movies until I fell asleep..
