"I'm sorry , I'm sorry , I'm so sorry " was all Davina could whimper as she crawled on her to knees to where the body was lying . She didn't even knew what she was sorry for .  Her sobs got louder and louder . She tearfully pulled the knife from the body as her face come across to the kid's face . Although Davina had recognized Ethan's clothes but looking at his pale face made her heart stopped as her body froze . 

Her stomach turned into twists and she vomited out everything her stomach possible had . The more she tried ,  the harder it was getting to breathe .

Meanwhile , Lucifer and Austin were looking everything getting unfolded . Austin just wanted to run their and engulf the crying Davina but Lucifer differed in his plans . he just wanted to finish the person or lets say the bunch of people who are the reason of all this but no matter how much they want to , they cant interfere right now . its not the time .

Lucifer was barely holding himself looking at the sobbing Davina . her words were knifing his demons and he don't know for how long will he be able to control them . 

Her vision got blurry and the last thing she remembered was some patrol guards running towards her and their loud voices . She couldn't comprehend what they were saying . But before her head could hit the ground Lucifer held her in his lap . Austin couldn't believe what he was seeing - The almighty Dark lord was kneeling down and holding Davina's head in his lap carefully like he was holding a small baby . 

Fate was playing a cruel game to them . he looked at Davina and then to his lord . Both of them he has served since he could remember . 

Austin eyes moved away from her to the lifeless kid . Although Lucifer had told him that this was gonna happen sooner or later but reality was hitting him harder than anything . He was taking care of this kid as his own since Davina disappeared . For an immortal vampire like him death was uncommon . First the disappearance of Davina and now the death of this kid . This loss felt so personal to him that even he was craving for revenge but he is tied by Lucifer command of not to interfere until its time . Tears were brimming in his eyes as he looked at his lifeless body.

Soon handful of soldiers had circled them . Their eyes widened while their knees were about to give up recognizing the lifeless kid . This kid was the sole survivor of his pack and strict instructions were given to protect him yet they don't know how this all had managed to happen . Soldiers were becoming wary of the stranger who was sitting in silence holding the girl from the engagement in his lap . his eyes were fixed on her face . There was something dark yet unpleasant about him that no one wanted to say anything first . 

For what felt like a long time no one uttered a single word and everything remained still until Lucifer finally stood up gently holding unconscious Davina in his arms . soldier paved the way out of him from the circle as furious looking Alexander with heavily loaded royal guard made his way to where they were . his eyes first fell on the unconscious Davina . her skin as pale as that of dead . 

" Davina- " he whispered loudly but Lucifer was quick in dodging him and vanishing into thin air . No one knew where they had gone and before Alexander could register what had happened . he smelled the Alpha blood and then his eyes registered what was in front of him . Ethan was covered in blood all over . his body was covered in wounds severe than any he had witnessed in a while . 

Alex's once shinning grey eyes had fathomed the blood red color . he looked at all the standing soldiers there and again all had their head down in shame . Shame that they couldn't protect their own pack member . His fist bleeding red as his nails was in clawing his fist in anger . Alex didn't knew who to blame except him . 

"  I am giving you 24 hours bring me the one behind this or i promise you neither of you will be able to see the light tomorrow " Alexander growled louder at everyone present there in the most threatening voice they have ever heard . 

One side his wolf was going berserk with remembering Davina unconscious and gone whereas other side not able to reason who will do this . This was not a doing of a rogues for sure . There was no stench of them but weirdly it was of someone from the pack . Those wounds showed that the culprit had followed their field tactics to take a small kid down . but WHO and WHY will someone kill the innocent ? unless the target is someone else . 

Alexander removed his shirt and covered the body slowly carrying it himself . He quietly carried it to the hospital away from the pack not wanting to alert the pack members .
