"Princess!" Yells Layla's Dad "I've missed you all day!" Layla shrugs and goes into her room, slamming the door behind her. She hears her dad yell something else, but it is to muffled to hear. A little while later, Layla looks at her clock. It reads 7:27. She walks into the kitchen and see her father eating a delicious looking dinner. "Where's mine?" She questions Her dad just shrugs "You gonna act like a two year old, I'm gonna treat you like one!" He pulls out a can from the very large cabinet behind the tea pot. She looks at it very closely, and even though the words are almost all faded away she can still read the letters, G R B R. He slams the can on the counter and locks the kitchen door. As she opens up the can, she yells "I hate you! I hate hate hate you!" He must've left the room, because all she heard was the simple cracking of the tree branches. The spoon that he put to the side of the "food" seems to scream rebellion. See that's how things work for Layla. Most people get inspiration from TV or books, she gets hers from random objects. She grabs the spoon and yells "Mom would never have me do this!" Sure enough, two minutes later she hears the stomping of her fathers military boots on the hardwood floor. "NEVER TALK ABOUT YOUR MOTHER!" he yells Layla finds this hilarious and goes on and on about it. Her fathers face turns beet red. He runs into the living room and grabs a package of papers. He sits down on the plywood stool and starts to grab a pen. "I don't want to do this Layla, I really don't, but I don't feel as I have a choice." He writes his name on a line and then he does it again and again. Finally after many more signatures, he turns around, folds the sheets, and puts the inside an envelope. He looks at her with tears in his eyes and said "it's for the best..."
